From Award Show To Runway
April 1st, 2009 at 10:13 am . by PayalJust like Kareena’s white sari (see here) made the runway after she wore it, so did this gown of Priyanka’s by Swapnil Shinde. The designer presented another in blue and a variation in metallic grey.

LOVE the greyish and the blue one! dont like the one on priyanka at all esp after looking at the ones that were on the runway!

btw what’s with the designers…what we see on runway is suppose to be the ‘never seen before’ stuff!!!
the green one on piggy chops is by far the best.

I actually like both the runway versions better than the one Pranks is wearing. Especially the grey one.
I think hers would have looked really good in a photoshoot…

the blue. that colour is divine!
The metallic grey version looks best and the model wears it well…no accessories (the ruffles on the provide enough ornamentation and focus), clean face, dark eyes.
This kind of styling suits the design better than the white-(ish) face, dangly earrings etc. that Ms Rao sported with another metallic grey Swapnil Shinde creation (refer Jan 2009 HHC post).

I loved what Priyanka wore but may be its not Priyanka’s colour.
i wish priyanka picked the metallic one- so edgy! n the blue would’ve popped on her. man… o well she still looks beautiful in the pastels
like the blue…def agree with CocoNUT that Priyanka’s color looks like an average prom dress.

The blue dress is gorgeous and I wish Priyanka would work on her posture, sometimes she looks like the clothes are wearing her.

Like others, I agree that the other two versions are much more elegant and adult than the one Priyanka chose to wear. I especially love the asymmetrical strap on the metallic dress – it seems like something that suits Priyanka’s sartorial choices. I’ve never liked the tie-dyed/ombre effect on dresses; it’s just too reminiscent of those horrible 80s prom dresses.
I like the blue one as it looks more ‘flowy’ and watery if you know what I mean. On Priyanka’s version the colour is so light that the details of the dress are lost.
For ONCE I can (proudly) say that Piggy Chops has worn it better than the models. Better color and cute earings too!

The blue one reminds me of Deepika’s gorgeous blue dress from bachna Ae Haseeno and IIFA premiere?!
Metallic grey! The other two colors are too common.

Priyanka’s is the best in my opinion- beautiful color and it’s graceful and romantic. Second is the blue, vibrant shade, and last is the gray, for some reason it appears a bit messy and the strap is distracting.
Priyanka is too thin – she should gain little weight to have better porpotions and therefore, look better in her clothes.
none….she needs to up her fashion meter.
