Priyanka on Vogue India:(Un)Covered

We’ve already seen Christy Turlington don one of the dresses from the Louis Vuitton for Diwali Collection. The latest issue of Vogue India, offers up sneak peeks into more from the collection and also dressed up its cover lady (Priyanka) in one.

It’s not that we don’t like the dress but the tightly curled stiff hair takes so much attention away from the festive dress. You like?

  1. Err are you telling me this is Priyanka Chopra? I was wondering who it was, she’s unrecognizable. Lol at the tagline: “The Priyanka Chopra you didn’t know” – no kidding, i didn’t know this one!

I have no issues with the hair, if the dress is considered festive then her hair has been styled appropriately, rather than falling straight.

  2. i’ve stopped taking PC seriosuly now .. just cannot understand why she needs to ‘sex up’ everything! Straight hair and a fun/flirty pose would have looked so great with that dress, but no .. she has to give that seductress look .. EVERY – SINGLE – TIME!!

    • Since it’s an editorial, she really doesn’t have much say in how her hair is styled, or for that matter, the shot that’s picked for the cover. It’s fine to critique her own personal styling, but when it’s out of her hands, it’s not really fair to put the blame on her.

The dress is gorgeous, but I wish the curls were looser. The tight ringlets send out a Little Bo Peep vibe, especially paired with the dress.

  3. Lovely dress, cheesy pose but that’s OK. Hate the hair/face.
Why don’t they sell Vogue India where I live? I want to know how to look good naked. 🙁

  4. there’s Louis Vuitton (the dress), Manish Malhotra (the border) and Sabyasachi (the dots) all going together in what Priyanka is wearing

  5. It’s fitting that the most boring, unoriginal ‘actress’ in B-Town wears the most asinine Diwali inspired dress in history. Marc Jacobs, where the hell are you?
As for the hair, I don’t blame the stylist on set. What the heck where they supposed to do with the fried mess that is PC’s crop? I’m pretty sure she’s wearing a wig and it looks like one.
Like someone mentioned before, I’ve stopped taking PC seriously.

  6. Going for the sexy Shirley Temple halloween costume? Don’t see anything special about this dress….too little girlish with those flounces.

  8. i like the dress, but wrong fabtic and styling is used . ethenic fabric gives an impression as if mom’z anarkali is turned to a lil gurls frock. Also the black belt is not going well with the dress..
but yes , celebs wears this so obviously is a fashion statement… heeee heeee

  9. they should have put her in a better outfit or perhaps even a sari (a change for Vogue India and considering the text right below her face). This dress doesn’t grabd any attention and I am not sure where you are going with this because it fails to look something striking & ethnic inspired… the black belt thing? why?

  10. The dress is beautiful, at the end of the day sari fabric is fabric, there’s no label given to it when manufactured saying it can only be made of sarees, kudos to marc for making such a beautiful dress from beautiful fabric. As with Priyanka- she looks good, although I agree with the hair comments- wish it was different.

  11. I really like PC – she’s possibly the most down to earth B actress there is . But I am not feeling this look – the dress is too short in a weird way, her legs looks out of proportion to her body – I am not sure what they were trying to accomplish.
