The main awards night saw Priyanka in a Manish Malhotra sari from the designer’s Mijwan collection. Finishing out the look with an updo and chand bali earrings, Priyanka was a vision of elegance.

  1. While I don’t like the sari or the blouse [those long sleeve ones are tricky and you can either go really good or bad with them] I am choosing her simply for wearing a sari. Everyone else looked like they were on the red carpet for the Oscars [which is fine] except this wasn’t the Oscars. I wish there was more variety in what the women wore with at least a few joining Priyanka and choosing a nice sari or salwaar or something.

  2. Welcome change from all the zazz and glitters we have been seeing. She is looking adorable.nice to see innocent shy smile in the world of confident pouting poses.

  3. Lol@elegance! She looks like she’s wearing a jazzed up version of an Indira Gandhi outfit. It’s not working for her, and her make up, hair just makes her look like she’s tired. I seriously hate all these long sleeved blouses, and this one even has a high neck….this look works only for politicians :p

  4. She looks adorable. She has never been the glamorous bollywood wife and doesn’t pretend to be one either. She tends to be simple and sticks to it.

  5. This is elegant alright-but an elegant Head Nurse doing special ward duty during Hospital Centenary week. Or an elegant wannabe lady MP.
    Please.

  6. It’s funny she was the one one who stood out and looked unique because she was wearing a sari when all other top stars looked like Hollywood Wannabes!

  7. No no no…the sari looks cheap (even if it is not), and while the blouse was doing fine I don’t understand the sleeves (=cheap again) and the fact that she’s wearing bangles underneath them! Also the dark lips don’t lift the color palette and it all ends up looking dull (I would go for a soft/bright pink or coral). Just because it’s a sari and it’s white doesn’t mean it’s elegant

  8. I think she looks rather sweet and fresh! Toeing up her hair does wonders for her face because her usual hairstyle makes her look fatigued and weighs down her petite features – she shud surely try these sort of styles with get hair pulled up, makes her look young and fresh – very interesting choice of saree and styling and so diff from the usual (wannabe faux fashionista) suspects!

  9. I think the clothes she is wearing are lovely but she is not the right person to wear them. Someone with a larger frame like kiran kher or someone taller like deepika/chithrangadha might make it work. Also the blouse is ill-fitted on her.

  10. Yes saw this in person too.. was sloppy and not impressive. Her make up was oily and not professional looking. But.. apart from all that…when approached she was simply the best! Gave a warm smile and spoke for several minutes while hubby was chatting with fans… regal would be the word for her. regal.
