  8. Congrats! Hm You ladies look so different from those first ever pics(though hazy) you posted couple of years ago. I have to agree with Sam. It would have been more credible if you took the time to show the readers “how to do” rather than not quite.;)

  9. Oh, I had no idea you were here in the USA! Good to know, though I wish you’d drop a clue as to which part of the country. Yes, I read you every day – two or three times a day, checking what else you have found for all your fans! Keep up the great work. Indian fashion’s so much fun.

  10. Congrats girls, good job !
And i love this bit: “Now, in fact, Payal and Priyanka are planning to hire a freelance photographer in south India because of the growing interest in southern cinema stars.”
    Yay !

    • One request here P&P can you have a different section for Southern Cinema, no offence but it just takes away the interest when their identity needs to be googled.. only to find out that i’m not really gonna see them in bollywood movies or paties..

      • I see where you are coming from, but No. This blog is about Indian fashion and not North Indian AND South Indian fashion or Bollywood AND Tollywood/Kollywood etc. Sowiiee. 🙂

        • Thanks PnP. I follow Indian movies be it bengali, south indian (telugu, tamil, malayalam) or hindi. (Atleast i watch the good recommended ones). So I like that you keep it Indian and without the split of north and south. Plus i think it ll be impossibe to come up with a clear split since so many of these celebs are integral part of both north and south indian movies.

          • I did watch few south Indian movies like Iruvar and Kandukondain Kandukondain and loved them, but it’s hard to read subtitles and watch simultaneously..nehow..can u all recommend south indian movies as I definitely love the realistic approach of those movies..

  13. congrats ladies!

i somehow expected you both to look a little bit more, i dont know, polished, perhaps? the photo is fine for something private (like your FB account), but as an accompaniment to an article about you both, i think you should have put in a different photo – something styled. you could have asked one of your many stylist friends. having said that you ladies look very cute in your photo 🙂

    • Congrats PnP!

Bongbabe, to me they look like I expected them to. Pleasant, neat and understated. And kudos to them for not having a styled shoot. Plus the Go Fug girls will have us believe they blog in their pyjamas so I guess PnP are not required to put Dia Mirza, Sonam et al in the shade to write HHC:-)

I must admit I have wished for more pop culture allusions and snark at times – but I think HHC has its own vibe which is kind of interested in fashion, moderate and laced with a bit of cheekiness:-) But PnP do get yourself a hot male intern-you deserve it!

      • yeah, but the caption says “arbiters of elegance”. it should have been edited to read, “armchair arbiters of elegance”.

        Reply
        • Perhaps the armchair is implied?!

I just read the piece, yo writer you could have done a better job! And of course there is a St Anger who bothered to read just to comment on Open’s standards in including frivolous lady stuff:-)

“One prominent Mumbai socialite has threatened the website with a possible lawsuit if it posted her images” – yay, blind item buried in piece! And ultimate accolade.

  17. congrats! I do however have a problem with your blog, everytime I visit and read about the fashion I feel like shopping:-( lets see…colored denim, statement necklace, hairbands were never my style but now I own all of them! not just that I have actually visited many sites and bought exactly the same thing seen on a celeb! great work guys:-)

  19. I may not comment each time I log on, but I’m addicted to this website! The best part though, both of you look soooo normal! I expected a fashion page, photoshopped, designer wear etc, etc. Congrats.

  20. Congratulations!!!! Great to see you both..

I have been religiously following the blog since the past three years and made my sisters and friends addicts too! 🙂

  21. Congrats you two! Got to agree with some of the comments. From whatever little that can be seen, the fashion sense seems pretty Meh , expected better. I can see the same blown hair and maroon lipstick so much for critiquing the celebrities for doing so. lol

  22. Check out the response in here! Truly well deserved. As a fashion writer myself, I couldn’t agree more with Bandana, whom i’ve had the pleasure of learning under. Everyone, atleast in the Indian fashion magazine industry, treats the blog like a guilty pleasure. Because your critique is terse, and perhaps not always succint (it usually always works out in your favor, thankfully). Regardless, I always make it a point to scroll down the site every few days. Coverage is your forte. And loyalists keep you above the others. You’re lucky to have so many high heels clicking, with both their feet and fingers.

  23. CONGRATS P & P….’group hug’ !!!!!
My day isnt complete unless i’ve had a peek at HighHeel…its not just a place where you can freely critique everyones sense of dressing but its also a place where you can draw positive fashionable trendy inspirations from…whether its clothes, shoes, hairstyle or makeup.

    SO GREAT JOB LADIES !!!!

dont go charging subs now ( hee…heee) !!!!

  24. My daily guilty pleasure too. And I have learnt a lot about the fashion scene and am still boggled by the in-depth knowledge you guys have about high fashion products. WTG!

  25. ladies, i had a thought – why not use your power to BAN the one boob show trend in sari wearing? please? it just really gets my goat.

    Reply
    • Not in any way spruking my site but I have one on vintage saree blouses. And was surprised to find that the one boob show is as old as hills.

But yeah, agree not a good look – in 1920s or now.

Like everyone else its the first and last thing I check everyday and now with twitter its even easier! Aishwarya Rai and Sonam Kapoor I love those posts because reading the comments is super fan – all claws out. Sabyasachi at fashion week, twinkle khanna in desi wear -the list goes on.
Please don’t ever stop being true to yourself! Love the sharpness HHC started with 🙂 My own guilty secret is that i don’t share this blog with any friends/family because I looove it all for myself. Regulars like PeachBellini, Bongbabe etc – love to you all !xxx
