In a Gucci halter gown, Poorna attended the recent Awards. Hair worn up, statement earrings, red lips and an Anusha Lalwani clutch complete her look. She looked good!

ha ha ha !! No offense but that hair reminds me of Elvis Presly !

  2. sonam says:

    presley*

  3. Nick says:

I think the gown would look classy if it was left simple at the back. The frilly bit with the slit is a bit too much. One of the two things would been ok as well.

  4. Paddy says:

    Sistah trying too hard!

  5. adya says:

I love her, weird and wonderful but always chic. An inspiration to “plain” girls like me!

  6. PrinessRuchi says:

Why is there so much undeserved acclaim for Poorna? she looks demented in this look. Quite literally!

I hope she reads the comments on HHC. I guess P&P’s praise has motivated her to dress hideously all the time.

    • Asha says:

I hope she’s not reading these comments. or at least yours. what we want in India is for our bollywood ladies to conform. and when they don’t or look different, you get outbursts like this one. Change things poorna, one fashion risk at a time.

      • Madhu says:

I think she is severely overrated too, but then i’m probably a conformist too, not just someone with a different opinion than yours.

      • Amrita says:

No offense, she does look weird. While she has her good moments as well, I agree with most others – this look is plain bad! Don’t try to pass off bad as unconventional-therefore-great!

    • Anu says:

I actually agree with this… She does look demented… Forget that this is a photo you are looking at, and for a while imagine that you met someone dressed like this.. It quite literally would’ve been a ‘rofl’ moment for me, especially that hair! And to keep to the ‘fierce’ look, there is no smile on the face either!

  7. SLC says:

This woman is brave with new looks, hair, make-up so I like.

  8. Tanya says:

No one else, I repeat no one else could have pulled this off. Always cool to see her in these pages.

  9. kiwi says:

Good look.. She took a risk!

  10. Pavithra says:

Love the bold look…this lady has style that rocks

  11. Food Poisoned Attorney says:

I donn think those earrings work with the outfit. But she is working the dress.

  12. vas says:

hideous..its ok to see such hairdos on the ramp but otherwise…just plain hideous.

  13. Suzy says:

Think the outfit is great . No one could have pulled it off better. I am glad somebody is trying something new with their hair and outfit unlike any of the other actresses who are pretty much trying to play safe and boring all the time.

  14. Sabita says:

I wouldn’t wear that hair but I love her taking risks

  15. Tingatipto says:

    2 words – Man repeller

    • Adara says:

      Bahaha! Like totally!

    • Ds says:

Is that how you gauge fashion? How attractive/unattractive a look is to a man?

Below the belt and Sexist comment…that sure is repellant to any decent man/woman.

      • sona m says:

whoever wrote “man-repellent” should be moderated off. Shame on you woman. And if you think like that, stick to gossiping with your friends. We don’t need to read backward opinions like that on this fashion blog.

        • Adara says:

Exactly it is a “fashion” blog which might be offensive to so many others that these many people are commenting about what another woman is wearing. Lol. I hope you are forward enough to understand that this blog is run solely on vanity. :P

      • sonam says:

I dont think Tingatipto was trying to be offensive
I think it was just a word play ( man repeller blog )
        I may be wrong though

        • Ds says:

Probably intention is to sound funny. But like many other jokes we hear in India (movies, tv, teenage boys to middle aged men conversations), this has sexist undertone. AND IT HURTS, coz it reiterates age old evaluation of a woman from a male perspective.

Sorry for being a party pooper, i fail to find such remarks funny.

        • Tingatipto says:

Thank you Sonam. It is indeed refreshing to see at least one informed person among the comment police :)

For the rest of you, its a fashion blog and a free world. Lighten up.

  16. couturecat says:

I’ve seen Hollywood actresses do this dress.. and I must say she works it like noone else! Love the hair – Gotta add a bit of edge for a dress like this!

  17. Aparna says:

She looks great!! So Poorna Jaganathan!!

  18. Hmm… that hair and that expression HAVE to go. :-/
