So many questions about that sleeve and why it exists but not enough time to write it all out.

The pallu reminds me of a streamer of a kid’s bday party. The sari reminds me of an animal printed curtain.
    Enough said.

I kind of like the origami style and the sleeve doesn’t bother me that much. But the print, with all of those details, is tacky.

I am on the fence about this one… Its borderline tacky. With a saree border detail like that, the blouse could have been more “normal” OR the saree pallu could have normal i.e. without the boob show to keep the blouse as the highlight.

She looks darn good…much prefer her modern interpretation of Sari than worn by other ‘fashionistas’ in Canne

I so agree with you. This girls have dared to experiment and put something deifferent on red carpet unlike other established designers…kudos to twins.

Call me old fashioned, but I don’t like any experiments with sari.

+1 Can’t stop laughing at this comment ;) I am all for a contemporary sari but this is plain hideous! Overdone!!

If only she had draped the pallu right, this could have been a very interesting look.

I actually like this look. Putting her hair up made all the difference to the outfit I feel. Yes, the busy print isnt the best, but overall I love the way the traditional saree was redefined and reinterpreted. Much prefer this look over the zillions of chiffon and georgette manish malhotras and the now predictable Sabyasachis. This is refreshingly different. Plus Parvathy actually looks good with that hair and make up!

I so agree with Swati. I am fed up looking at blink and embroideries on Saree.
