Doing Denim

Comment image 19

Wearing a pair of distressed boyfriend denims and a tee with lace inserts, Parineeti attended the opening of a lounge in Pune. A bowler hat, bright lip color and neutral pumps finished out the actor’s look. While we appreciate the attempt at something new, we just can’t get behind the choice of tee; such a downer! Lose the hat, add a different top and edgier shoes and this look would’ve had a chance. May we please refer Ms. Chopra to a certain Ms. Sharma and Ms. Padukone for pointers on pulling off this look?

  1. Totally agree. Better tee and edgier shoes. Also, distressed light colored denims for someone with her body shape is not flattering. A dark clean wash would have made her look much slimmer and taller.

      • I think it’s rather unfair to compare Ms Chopra to Ms Sharma and Ms Padukone. The two have completely different body types compared to Ms Chopra and the average Indian woman.
While I can see what Ms Chopra is trying to do with this look, what may have worked in theory didn’t really come off well in practice. Having said that, Ms Chopra does need to fire her stylist and wear clothes that flatter her!

  2. Actually the tee is probably the only thing I can countenance. The bowler, the distressed denim, and then that dressy pump are all so discordant.

  3. Some of the comments are so ridiculous, I dont even care about the outfit.
“Learn to accept your flaws and dress accordingly instead!”
Really? being a certain size is an outright “flaw” now?
The same people would find colored skin a flaw as well.
I’d say 80% janta is flawed then, so maybe its time to wake up to whats perfectly normal.

Someone else commenting on how to look lean and tall. When did that become the goal of dressing up? Someone wants to wear distressed jeans, they wear it. They either style it well or not. Comment on the fashion not on body types and “how-to-look-good-by-pea-brain-standards”.
And this girl is not even remotely big by any standards.
