It’s uncanny how much Mallika reminds me of Freida from the same event last year (see here). Both wore shimmery dresses with metallic sandals but while Freida went for a one-shouldered dress with pumps, Mallika goes for a strapless dress with Choo strappy sandals.

I thought Ms. Sherawat looked quite va-va-voom and considering the awards show is a cocktail reception, the dress was perfect for the occasion. My only gripe are the metallic shoes. I wish she had gone with plain black strappy sandals.

Instead of wearing this Cavalli top as is, Natasha changes it up by wearing it as a one-shouldered top minus the belt with black leather pants and a pink mini-Birkin. With the colors being so resorty/summery, wish Ms. Poonawala had picked white slightly flared pants.

Kareena goes long by wearing a Just Cavalli halter gown with gold YSL Tributes at the unveiling of “Lonely Planet’ Magazine. She wore her hair up, which was a welcome change, but the gown print is so meh.

We are guessing the cold temperatures in Delhi made Ms. Panag hang on to that capelet but we wish she had ditched it for the red carpet. Our vote is a ‘Not’ on this one (because of the capelet), what about for you?

After a string of appearances in Manish Malhotra, Aishwarya switched back to Sabyasachi and while I loved that she changed things up unlike a certain Ms. Balan, I would have much preferred plain black churidaars with this anarkali, just because it is so busy already.

AB Jr. on the other hand is making my eyes go all weird because of the stripes overdose. He could’ve also used a plain black scarf.

In a way, we should be glad that instead of giving us another ‘In Character’ look, Vidya went for a Sabyasachi. But, why does it feel like we’ve seen her wear this style in all major colors. Oh wait, that’s because we HAVE! ;)

Unless it is a big-banner premiere, rarely do we see anyone dress up but at the ‘Coco Avant Chanel’ (Coco Before Chanel) premiere, I was surprised to see model Lisa Haydon (who just graced the cover of Harpers) in a Chanel Resort 2009 dress. I loved her look until my eyes reached her feet. Sky-high pumps is what this dress needed, not ankle-strap sandals.

On an aside, have you seen the movie? Did a chill run up your spine in the scene where Audrey is sitting on the spiral staircase and the models are walking down!

In character or out, the lady likes her dresses a certain style, no doubt about that. And it sure doesn’t surprise us to have spotted her styled in an Alice+Olivia Rigby Tube Dress in her recent movie.
