Puja attended the portrait session, along with Ameesha, wearing a black embroidered Rahul Mishra jacket.

At first glance, the satin pants may have given off a velvet feel which almost had us shudder but on closer inspection, the pants turned out to be satin. Not our most favorite material, but the look overall worked for a portrait session.

She sure has has us excited about her red carpet appearance.

Ameesha, in Cannes to promote her movie Shortcut Romeo attended a portait session wearing a white Manish Malhotra floor-length anarkali.

Compared to her past appearances, this was quite a polished look and graceful. Just wish the hair was completely pulled back.

Nandita, who is part of the short films jury, attended a photo call today introducing her and her fellow members.

The simple cheery yellow suit was a welcome respite from all the taken-a-few-hours-to-put-it-on looks we’ve seen so far. Can we all collectively agree, that this is one moment that we’ll all remember from this Cannes edition and for good reason.

So simple. So striking. So love.

Off The Red Carpet

While at Cannes, Aishwarya has been making appearances off the red carpet as well. A media call saw her in a look consisting of a YSL shirt, Zac Posen skirt and an Armani belt which we found very reminiscent of Carolina Herrera. If Jessica Miller hadn’t given us the same look (in Dolce & Gabbana) already, we would’ve loved to see this on the red carpet as well.

Her portrait session look in the silk lace blouse and pants was a very flattering one at first glance but the more we looked, the more the black (waistcoat) on black didn’t make sense.

Of the two looks, which one do you prefer?

In a Sabyasachi sari, Samantha attended the recent award night held in Chennai. Big earrings, good ol’ ice on the ever important finger and a bindi is all that took to finish out the look. She looked sweet! (We’ll just pretend we don’t see the belly button bling. sigh)
