Still A Favorite

Those two-hoop earrings are still quite a favorite of Padma’s from what we see. The model-cum-actress-cum-TV Host-cum-jewellery designer still continues to wear them, most recently while on the Late Show with David Letterman. The necklaces change, the hoops remain.

  1. Those colors look FAB on her, I <3 Padma Laxsmi
however, the jumpsuit makes her look lumpy in places I am sure she is not (too bad too, she almost pulled it off)

  2. I like it. It’s pretty and delicate. Not overly original but she wears it well with out going over board. Even her shoes are compliment the look.

I’m more interested in what she’s wearing on the hands. Both her bangles and that hand jewelry thing(no idea what it’s called) add interest and complete the look.

And the colours do look good on her.

  4. I absolutely ADORE Padma Lakshmi 🙂
BUT, don’t like the length of her dress (and the ruffles at the bottom), it makes her look lanky, in a not-so-nice way.

    Love the jumpsuit..HOT!

  5. she looks gorgeous. can’t believe she’s pushing 40. She’s the most beautiful woman in the world.
I think the pretty but rather muted color brings out her beauty even more.
I like the dress at her departure best; the ruffle design is really pretty. In fact, I’ll be looking to buy a dress like that.

  6. What is that thing on her arm? Did she get herself branded? Wow she’s got guts if she did, have been thinking of it myself for years but always balk when I actually get close to getting one!

And she looks radiant and beautiful every single time. I have earrings exactly like these ones..they really go with everything.

  7. @ ashwinini – i totally agree any other model/actress would have covered it up/ gotten it surgircally fixed.

Love, love, love her. She has a fab dressing style and the kind of class that no one in b’wood has

  8. She was in a really bad car accident when she was a teenager, that’s what the scar is from.

She looks lovely in those colors. Most desi girls look great in purples/pinks

  9. Yes, this jewelry is all from her own jewelry line, inspired by spices like cardamom and cloves… and lentils, lol. I love the pieces but I can’t afford them =( I think it’s sold exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman in NYC.

  11. I don’t think she is pretty at all. I don’t know why everyone makes such a big deal about her. There are far better looking and stylish Indian women out there.

  12. Not a fan of the jumpsuit. But she does look fab in the other dress. Lovely smile too. But I agree wid caligirl, I don’t find her pretty either.

Car accident? Looks more like a burn sustained while cooking. She is a chef isn’t she??

  13. She looks gorgeous, she is really stylish from whatever I’ve seen of her, the jewelery is really ordinary but the way she puts it together takes it from mediocre to FAB!:)

  15. She’s such a classy, sophisticated lady. I love her style, and the way she talks is soooo sexy. She doesn’t need to fake a british accent like most bollywood women do.

She’s effortlessy stylish, can say that much for the women featured on here

  16. Second Caligirl and fashionfool…I wouldn’t call her “ugly” (more because its so uncomplimenting an adjective to describe anyone), but all the comments above make me feel everyone, save the three of us, saw an entirely different picture/ person. Yes, she’s earned a certain degree of fame and fortune, but that would be in spite of being a plain Jane. I can see how clever she is to have focused everyone’s attention on a scar, and not the rest of her. Not being conventionally good looking, or white, she might have never made it big, considering her struggling years were the 80s and early 90s, when modelling was still a gorgeous blonde’s territory.

  17. I don’t think it’s exactly about being pretty, it’s just that she comes across as being confident, relaxed i.e comfortable in her own skin and hence the increase in the likability factor:)
