Out of Character

Promoting Ghanchakkar everywhere in character (you only need to google them), Ms. Balan finally took a break while attending The Front Row taping on TV and at an event in Dubai.

But, at both appearances even out of character, she went wrong. And for one reason. Pairing a white kurta with stark black sandals.

  1. What’s wrong with wearing white kurta with black sandals? She looks good in the first set of pics, love that she is finally wearing the right makeup and love those earrings!

  3. On the first look, the black sandals might not be that great, but honestly don’t see much wrong with black footwear with the denims.

  4. I love both looks. She connects with the public because she is wearing everyday kurti, jeans ….no sign of designerwear, although it may be. And it’s easy to replicate. Smart.

  5. I thought the same exact thing when I saw those black pumps in her interview on the Front Row. It brought down the look. But the sandals don’t bring the look too much down in the Dubai promotions, she looks fine there.

  6. You girls need to calm down. You cant expect every woman to dress like Sonam! Its just footwear and it doesn’t look half bad. She looks good otherwise. Infant very nice in the first set of pics.. Give her a break..

  7. I am totally with the majority here…I don’t think the shoes bring down the look at all. She looks beautiful yet so approachable
Two of her best recent looks

  8. I think she looks lovely–the nicest she’s looked in the longest time. Love the kurtas on her, and the fact that they show her curves instead of swaddling her. Oh, and that shawl is a nice touch too.
    Great going, Vidya!

  10. I really like her outfit in the first set or pics (although you’re right about the shoes). She looks so good in a non-voluminous outfit! And the earrings are gorgeous!
