On An Aside: Priyanka In Drona, First Look
August 7th, 2008 at 10:04 pm . by PayalHer character looks fabulous in Dostana, but what do you think of Sonia’s look, Priyanka’s character from Drona. Designed by Anahita Shroff ( Fashion Director of Vogue), the outfit has loads of chiffon and leather elements.
Think this look will not crash and burn like the look of a certain other ‘futuristic’ character?

nuh uh i’m not feeling the look on her for some reason she just isn’t pulling it off, it’s like she’s trying too hard. And i don’t even have anything against her!
drona is going to be a major flop and so is this look
A big thumbs up. Considering that not many fantasy action movies are made in India, I didn’t think the designers might churn out great costumes.. But this totally rocks!!! Even the yellow strips of cloth on the boots. Very nice.
I love everything but the boots. They look like trash bags bound with crime scene tape!
Help me out here guys….hasn’t anybody noticed that COMICal leather turban? it adds an extra three inches to her head making her look like a forceps-baby. Mebbe thats her super power, head-butting.
I agree with Mareena, she has not pulled off the expression. Blah.
hmm.. well i dont like the headband.. what is that? it looks like a pagdi taken from Singh is King.. love the other bits in it.. and if you can blv it. its actually making PriC look a lil bulky and not her usual thin self..
Hahaha the green stuff looks like right off from Angelina’s cannes dress. And she also reminds me of Lara Croft for some reason.
I like the look. But alas! Its going to be of no use as Drona is a sure shot disaster at the box office. One needs competent directors to make a sci-fi believable and Goldie Behl is certainly not one of them….
Well i liked whatever i saw on the cover of Bombay Times…the colours were certainly not this stark. Her bust looks weird, but that’s my only grouse.

I think one should wait until they see a movie to decide whether they think it was a “hit” or “flop” in their opinion. Regarding P.C’s look: I think she doesn’t carry it off well and I think it’s trying way too hard. It is reminiscent of her other disastrous outfits in Love Story 2050
I don’t like the look that much and the boots are horrible .
Anaita styled the film but the costumed were actually designed by Gaurav Gupta
Amrit – Priyankas clothes for Drona have been done by Gavin Miguel. This look is too him. I am positive this has to be Miguel and no one else.

the expression on her face looks like she’s got constipation. let’s keep our fingers crossed the film will be good despite the costumes. it’s still baby steps for indian sci fi.
@wannabe. she’s wearing a head band around her head and not a turban so it would not have added inches to her height. her head is naturally big like kareena’s.
those boot things make her look positively chunky when in reality she is skinny – not feeling this look – wish bollywood would stick to what it does best and leave the fantasy/sci fi/ adventure stuff to Hollywood.

This look is very cool and minus the turban….please fetch me more info on Miguel.he is doing some good stuff…so why is anitha the designer if its Gavin Miguel.styling is one thing and making this garment is another

Hmm…so..wats wid those shoes! And the printed white straps clashing so horribly with the green. Without them, it wud hav been better!
