In Payal Pratap
At the launch of a video app for a leading production company, Nimrat was seen in a Payal Pratap sari. Her look may have been one straight off the runway but what sold me here was the Amrapali bird ear cuff worn as a brooch. I love the idea of repurposing a jewellery piece and that move had me sold instantly. It also helped that she wore it so well.
Did you love her here as much as I did?

Absolutely Lovely!
Loooove this from head to toe. Holy cannoli that brooch is fab as is that bow around her waist.
The brooch idea is nifty. The rest of the look falls flat, literally.
She is a gorgeous lady. The bow seems out of place.
This woman is so fabulous I am lost for words
I want to be her when I grow up 😀
I think you will be fabulous and fantastic by being you.
<3 this executive update on the saree. well conceptualized, well executed. THIS is the way to take the saree forward
You ladies need to relearn critiquing. This is bias. Bcoz she wore a piece that you liked differently, doesn’t make this a thumbs-up look. She is a lovely lady and a good actress, she can do much better.
Kuch Bhi… What sort of dress is this..shirt saree.. kimono belt
earring turned in to a brooch..
what is the meaning of all this… why is a dress not meant to be worn the way it was intended to. Why this fusion bizarre -ness everywhere.
+1 Bingo- exactly what thoughts
I agree . Kuchh bhi . She’s a gorgeous lady …. but this looks plain silly . Even the earring brooch thingie can’t salvage this confused attire
She looks lovey…though this saree with a bow is not really blowing me away, its actually kinda funny. Nimrat I adore.
yuck! i guess people should sometimes use their own head n basic sense. Funny look.
AGREE!!
mai karoon tho character dheela, wo karen tho ras leela. Now tell me why I got my butt spanked when I wore my moms saree over my blouse?
🙂
She looks lovely, as always. The outfit is a confused mess. If it was anyone else wearing this, we would be LMAO-ing.
Lol. Ditto.
She is a gorgeous woman. Though I am not a fan of this look, seems borderline silly, she somehow makes it work. And thats what the difference is, some celebs can just about make anything work.
To call that a sari is an insult. To me, it just looks like a skirt worn with a white shirt with and matching sash. The closest it comes to any ethnic outfit seems to be more a kimono than a saree. I am not comfortable with any sash worn across the torso automatically converting an outfit to a saree. It’s ridiculous. I don’t find anything special in the brooch either, other than the writer getting excited that she owns the same item, which is understandable I guess.
I guess her charm sells the look. But frankly these odd ways of wearing the sari are not my cup of tea….the sash/bow ruins it for me.
It should be straight “off” the runway.
As for the outfit – not everyone’s cup of tea but she did work it.
