Grey Matters

Of all the dresses from the Spring 2010 collection, it is such a downer that Neha picked this one to wear to the Ferragamo cocktail event. She paired her dress with grey sandals and a bow clutch, also Ferragamo. While the color was great, just about everything else was a fail. The hair, the bust fit and the skirt that looked dramatic on the runway falls flat in real life.

How I wish she’d picked either one of the two dresses below.

  1. I have to disagree with you Payal.
I absolutely love Love LOVE this look! Makeup and all.
Though I love the white dress. <3

PS. Was Priyanka Chopra at this event?

  2. I like the dress – maybe because I that shade of charcoal grey and organza are two of my favorite things in life:-) I like Neha’s side part too – putting the hair back in a sleek ponytail would have done more for the whole look! And some metallic sandals, a darker clutch. But luurrrrrve the dress itself.

  3. Agree on the ill fitting bust area and the skirt. But she looks fab. I like the girlie clutch. 😀

PS:The knee area of the model in the white dress, SCARY!

  4. She looks horrible D:
The shillouette is horrible on her, and …just not very flattering as a whole. Maybe with a blazer. Or maybe if it was more high-waisted? Or of the skirt was shorter? Skirts that fall at the hip are just not my thing.
The hair and makeup do not help. However, had she been wearing the dress on the bottom left with the same makeup/hair she would have looked awesome.

  5. hair is too flat, lipstick is ageing her.. shoes just not going with the dress. skirt kind of looking like a school skirt.. not working. just the colour is lovely

  6. i like the top part of the outfit- it’s interesting. dislike everything else. the skirt is matronly, the shoes, make up and hair do her no favours either.

  7. You can’t say Neha doesn’t have her own individual style! I remember when she first came out she had this youthful, kind of generic look, but she has totally transformed. She wears things I would never be brave enough to attempt! This Ferragamo dress with a super high neck, see through in the front is so daring and so edgy! I love it!

  8. She should have gone with the second dress. The first dress looks like a newbie’s attempt at designing. Designer must have thought he was being very avant garde by tacking pleats into a strip of cloth around the waist. Of course, there will always be someone who will buy anything with a designer label no matter how ridiculous it looks.
