In Lanvin

If there was anyone who could sell lamΓ© to me, I should’ve known it’d be the natty Ms. Nat.P! Yes, I’ve been driven to assign a lame (see what I did here?) monicker to her.

Fabric and fabrication (of name) aside, Natasha looked great in her grey tank and Lanvin skirt. A navy Hermes Kelly Longue (clutch), blue pumps and aviators finished out the look. Not a fault to be found; we like.

    • True dat! I think they all wish they had her fashion budget too, heck we all do! ^.^
The only one that could possibly compete would be Shilpa, now that she married a billionaire. But alas the taste is not quite there. πŸ˜‰
      Natasha is fearless! πŸ˜€

  1. Cleverly worded post. πŸ™‚ enjoyed reading it!
On to style, not really liking the tank with that skirt. Looks dowdy and unkempt. Quite Liked the black crop top shown on the model.

  2. WOW… How does she manage to rock every outfit.
I guess she will one day come out wearing newspaper and still look like a million bucks!!!!!

  3. Am I the only one who doesn’t see the huge hype regarding Natasha? Yes, she wears really expensive clothes and lust-worthy brands but she has some hits and some misses like everyone else. I prefer Kangana any day to Natasha, Kangana’s innate fashion sense, confidence and effortless are traits no amount of money can buy.

    • I never understood either. And there would be plenty here I am sure who would agree with you as well. She tries very hard to keep up an “image” with the designer tags.

    • I love Kangana too…But Natasha is equally distinct, funky and quirky in her fashion choices…Hard to pick one…If I had to rate the celebrities on this blog in terms of their fashion choices it would be as follows
      1. Kangana/Natasha
      2. Neha Dhupia/Kiran Rao/Tisca Chopra/Vidya Balan in sarees
      3. Deepika/Sonam
      4. Most others look like clones of each other

    • I’m sorry in advance about the rant but I’m just so sick of these comparisons! Why does there only have to be a number 1!? Why can’t there be a couple of people with individual styles be up there? Its so ‘mera beta first ayega!!!’

      • No need to rant about it…May be my point wasn’t clear…I could care less about the ranks as well… The bottom line is I look forward to the posts of Kangana/Natasha/ Neha Dhupia/Kiran Rao/Tisca Chopra/Vidya Balan in sarees/ Deepika/Sonam. The rest, I really don’t care…

  6. Not working. I really don’t get why you fangirl over her and Sonam so much. This look is very average. I’m sure if someone other than natasha or sonam was wearing this, you’d bash them.

    • Which precisely emphasizes the statement that it is not about what you wear, but how you wear and carry it off…. major fashion rule!
And that is why Natasha / Sonam / Kangana/Neha Dhupia are probably the only ones whose sartorial choices garner attention and interest.
Natasha always makes whatever she wears so editorial. On any one else it might end up looking plain stupid, and hence the bashing that ensues.

  7. She has got some fab clothes. According to me the only one that can rightfully give her a run for her Loubatin’s is that Nimmat Bakshi but sadly she’s a delhite so we don’t get to see her.
But I like how ms Poonawala is playing the whole look down here

  8. Hmm, looks like high heels been influenced by the poonawala pocket too. All those negative comments have become super positive , have they!

  9. I quite like Natasha’s style, i think she looks great here minus the aviators..

but ever since i read in here (or some other blog don’t remember) from someone who went to same school/college as her about how her style back then was braided hair and selwar kameez every day and wasn’t known at all for her style then…i can’t unsee that ..but good for her… what a transformation, even earlier posts of her on this blog has her look different..i guess she really has evolved her style..

  10. That tank’s fabric is too limp, a more fitted black one would have helped. Also, don’t like how the color of the shoes detracts from the skirt.
    Love the word play! πŸ™‚

  11. she looks wow… i am lusting over the shoes and the skirt… having expensive designer wear is one thing.. but not everyone can make it work like Mrs. P can. Bravo!

  12. Guys, guys, guys!!

Its moniker. NOT monicker! (even the website underlined that in red!!)

Sigh. The inner editor comes roaring to life.

  13. She doesn’t look ‘expensive’, if you get what I mean. She never does. No matter what she wears. I can’t place my finger on what detracts her clothes/ensembles from looking like the lakhs they’re worth- maybe it’s the dual tone hair :-/

  14. Maybe it’s the fact that she doesn’t try to prove a point thats it’s expensive. she carries everything off effortlessly instead of being in your face. The ultimate fashionista!
