In Dior
You may not like the hat and the pop of color it provides but am loving it and Natasha’s outfit from the McDowell’s derby. She kept it simple by donning a Dior sheath dress and pairing it with Louboutin button web strappy sandals and stretch Bottega Veneta knot. Finally, a look from her that was event appropriate. As for the hat, what’s a derby appearance without an attention grabbing headgear.

Yes, yes….head to toe designer, but remind me how old she is again??? For goodness sake, she’s dressed like a woman way beyond her years!!! You could easily see someone like Joan Collins or Susan Sarandon in an outfit like this!! It may be event appropriate, but certainly NOT age appropriate! Would have worked with a younger hat.
And her hair should have been less flouncy with that hat. It’s all too much.
how younger can you get compared to pink frathers upside down…?! and FINALLY a look that suits the races.
most women dress for the races like theyr dressing for a cocktail party… thankfully…a look that cud fit from kentucky derby to the melbourne cup.
either one dresses indian … or if dressing western then to do it properly – complete with hat / fascinator.
btw… i made a hate pretty similar to this myself… its pretty easy once u get a basic black hat… u just keep pinning and unpinning the accessories 🙂
P&P – do we know who the milliner is?
P&P : agree with you completely… the dress is simple yet elegant and very event appropriate and love the sandals…
I love the dress, I think a size bigger would have looked perfect!
I, for one, adore the look and the fun element the hat provides.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE. I cannot express that enough.
Totally and completely my style. If I could pull off hats. But I can’t. I wish I could.
Have I mentioned before that Dior is my favorite
I might have… one or twice 🙂
The closest I’ve gotten to Dior is (well actually) touching some of them. Longingly. Reverently. In the Dior store. With the sales man looking at me suspiciously. I JUST WANTED TO ADORE IN PEACE!
like u is dior, me is chanel:)
the dresses and everything is so timeless, so elegant and classy
Well actually pdaervo, you have mentioned it a lot of times before 🙂 .. so much so that now whenever there’s a Dior related post, at least I know you’re going to reply .. don’t blame you though.. Dior is magic… I’ve coveted it myseilf since ages.. someday i shall be a proud owner ..!!
this kinda bring unwanted attention to her tummy*
also I am a sucker for fuchsia n soh digging that more 😉
I love the dress and the hat adds the perfect zing for Derby Day…she has got this look down. And wow, she seems to have lost all of her baby weight!
i think the hat is super funky, i like how she kept the outfit simple and let the accessories do the talking… the shoes.. i love lust want!!
The hat is totally event appropriate at the Derby. Heck! If she can carry it off like SJP anywhere else, I would still say “go for it”!
Love the look, love the hat-she still has some post baby wt to lose.. but looking good:)
love this look totally!!
I love the sandals…
” but am loving it and Natasha’s outfit ”
shouldn’t it be I’m or I am? sigh…dilli billy…
I do love how she’s put it all together…
but the dress is very slightly unflattering on her. her stomach is sticking out a wee bit and the first picture hasn’t got the best angle of her arm.
i love natasha poonawalla…. i think she carries her self real well. she really has such a sweet face
This is a really good look!! I love the dress, the shoes and the hat, esp. that pop of pink! Look how good she looks – she just had a baby a few months ago!
LOVE IT!
I know I’m being finicky and irritable, but Ascot-aping just annoys me.
no you are not.. It annoys me too!! Especially since all I can think of when I think of dressing up for the races is Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady:-) This is all too silly and wannabe-ish for me.. I mean look at her, fuchsia nails to match the fuchsia on the hat.. LOL
if that flower was bunch of grapes, i jus needed to stick my tongue out for breakfast…. juzz kiddin..
lovd the look, wish she had spanx on her tummy.
love her shoes, watch, BV & peach lip color
Those fancy headgears are called Fascinators! Somehow hers just doesnt fascinate me much! Love the shoes!!! llllooooveee them!
I have to concur with tongue in chic! Whats’ up with all the west aping? Who but only the British wear millinery yet? Talk about wannbe white brits. Sheesh! GAG just GAG
Although I would personally prefer a nice saree as the event calls for traditiona/elegantl attire, I can understand the dress. But the millinery? NAH
I soo agree with you PG
agree with tongue in chic and PG, what a colonial hangover, why can’t they be more original and develop a style which is more place and time appropriate.
i wish the flowers in her hat were actually ON the brim of her hat and not under it. lol
FINALLY a look that suits her face and body type. She should stick to prim outfits with soft edges.
The dress is so elegant. Love! 🙂
its a very simple sheath getting it wrong would be almost difficult, but she manages that easily!
Her hair has be neater with a hat like that(if you have to)i feel her face structure would be better off with a small hair pc/fascinator rather than a consuming hat!Would be nice to see th stylish women of mumbai…carry something other than this bottega bag…..yawn!
I have a similar dress from Victoria Beckham. Its lovely and makes me feel like a million bucks. The hat is from Philip Tracey
