High Heel Confidential

Off The Runway

December 23rd, 2009 at 12:17 am . by Payal

While I didn’t like the orange/blue pairing on Twinkle (partly because of the dress), am loving the orange sandals with the polka-dots Gucci dress on Natasha. Am so glad she didn’t wear the look with the thigh-high boots (as seen on the runway).

She was also spotted wearing a Versace white dress with zipper details at the Kingfisher calendar launch. As far as color goes and what we can see, she got our vote for wearing something more day appropriate.

I dont know this natasha girl but she definitely rocked in polka+orange shoes…what a combination .wow……………

Polka Dot dress looks nicer with the original belt and I personally think orange is too much with polka dots. I prefer Twinkles. Just saying ;)

  4. bucva says:

She doesn’t have the figure to carry off the Versace… The Gucci looks better on her I think, because it isn’t as fitted.

aww…c’mon she just had a baby!!! She’s pretty in shape considering that

I love the polka dots with the orange shoes!! She looks SO adorable, especially with her hair semi-pulled back!

I dont like the versage dress it’s constructed quite flimsily

  5. pretty says:

natasha should stay away from short dresses, i agree. it makes her look much bigger than she is

Wow, what I would not give to be Natasha. I love the orange and polka dots pairing. But am not too fond of the dress. It doesn’t touch me in any way.
The Versace is nice, it looks great on her(no, she doesn’t look fat). But somehow, I hate Versace, very Eurotrash.

the white zipper dress is on the ELLE India cover — July 2009 Megan Fox wears it.

LOVE the orange shoes with that dress, so retro
but I wish she wore the belt :(

  9. jiji says:

Ah! nice. This is how ‘pop of colour’ should be done if you’re going to do it at all! Minissha Lamba – take note!

I’ve got to say these indian socialites sure have a lot of self confidence to wear these clothes when they arn’t exactly toned, probabley because they don’t have the ruthless papparazzi over there, because if a hollywood celeb wore those clothes with that figure they’d be ripped to shreds!

    • Stuti says:

I don’t see how that confidence is a bad thing. :)

      • Chocolate Martini says:

also, I think that Indian society in general doesnt except women (even the glamorous/ socialite kind) to be in bikini-shoot-shape at all times, plus the size zero trend has very few takers in this part of the world (I mean average women not Kareena Kapoor)

        …which I think is a GOOD thing

And again, she’s just had a baby, so I fail to see how even the most ruthless papparzzi could fault her :D

i like both the looks …as such i like most of the times …she tries different kind of dreses , mix and match …

am I spotting a litle tum in the second dress …

The polka dress with thigh high boots looks va va voom on the runway model . It looks just blah without a belt…

If only I could move the substance (e.g fat) on my waist in the vertical direction and give myself an extra 12 inches of height …..I could pull off that look …

  13. paris says:

i love the look! she looks fabulous!

  14. sania chaudhri says:

a designer frock and a blowdry doesnt make a fashionista anywhere in the world but here……
She looks v average..but I suppose we are so pressed to see anyone well dressed on HHC (not your fault,so few well dresses women out there) that this seems fab!

  15. diptiN says:

she looks good in the polka dot dress. the photo with the white dress is taken at a bad angle and of course, one needs to have a very flat stomach to carry this dress, especially since it is white. A fitting white dress is very unforgiving.

  16. Viz says:

Love love love the orange shoes. I have a very similar dress which i always pair with boring black high heels. I m so going hunting for orange pumps!!!

  17. Antonia says:

LOVE LOVE LOVE the first look.
Polka dots + the pop of colour = fun. I feel inspired.
