    so far i thought no one can anyone go wrong in a sabya, here’s the proof! very few times have non-indians done justice to a saree…this one is a clear example of the contrary. simply love naomi in this!

    everybody is she is hot because she is supermodel but it was a indian women who had dark skin like naomi nnone of this designer would have let her walk the ramp for him/her expect maybe Lakshmi.

    y only lakshmi? nina manuel n carol g. are women of darker complexion but still they are the most sought after faces on the Indian runway :-S

    on the contrary in so many shows, designers work on making the models look tanned nowadays

    @jos you are mistaken, Nayanika Chatterjee, Tinnu Verghese, Nina Manuel are all dark girls. Its only designers in India who give them a break not the advertising guys, and all of them including Feroz and Queenie looked good at the show. Its not the first time she has worked in India…she came down before for a show about 8 years back.

    As for not using dark model, most indian models are dusky! only few light skinned, what are you talking about.

    I don’t think I can post links to videos on here, but Tehzeeb, I looked for it on youtube since I wanted to see it too…and guess wot…it’s there. Just type in ‘Mai Mumbai’ and sort results by date added….u shud find two videos….then type in ‘Naomi’s saree saga’ and u’ll find another.

    Omgoshh I was on the plane watching satellite tv and it was a local news station (Vancouver) n i had no clue this fashion show was happening.. n then they’re like heres a short clip and I see NAOMI walking n I almost died I was like OMGOMOMGOMGGGGGG I NEED TO GO ON HIGHHEEL NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW lol n they showed Deepika too for like a few seconds.. wow I’m just in awe I think she looks so good.. and I like this sari as much as the one that Ash wore.
