of all the characters in Mahabharat… Gandhari probably got the least coverage… until NOW. Someone seems like a big fan.

    Could someone please enlighten me:

Is that’s a saree tied differently (+pants) or an entirely separate garment piece?

Oh goodness, typos galore. That was supposed to read:

      Would* someone please enlighten me:

Is that* a saree tied differently (+pants) or an entirely separate garment?

If folks want to look silly, it’s their prerogative I guess…

I like the theme (such a different idea for bollywood) but not a fan of either outfits above.

Is Kalyanis sari also Shantanu & nikhil?

Lady in first pic looks like she has a massive headache and is doing some self treatment! Kalyani Chawla carries her look really well though I’m not a fan of this sari-pants look – just looking at the model makes me think you could not walk in this except by mincing about!

Is Kalyanis sari a Shantanu – Nikhil too?

The theme shouldve been Minnie mouse at her daughter’s wedding.

There is nothing remo—-tely Mahabharatha (or nice) about this look.

I am still not on board. This is what I did as a five year old – wear my mom’s sarees over my jeans. Years later it becomes a fashion statement. Who would have thought.

Did Nandini borrow Bhishma pitamaha outfit from BR Chopra’s serial folks to create her look?

I think she was going for Gandhari — blind fold and all. Just raised it up so that she could see. :)

A grey turban/headscarf? Mahabharata calls for a Big Gold Crown on the head if anything. I’m positive these ladies never missed an episode of Mahabharata yet they are dressed up in this dull sari!

    1. Anu at | | Reply

Yeah, me thinks its the Gandhari look. Blind folds raised up to the forehead when not needed.

The silliness of that thing on the head is truly mind boggling. This woman always had bad taste. She dresses like an idiot.

I know this is a bit snarky, but these fingers can’t resist the urge to type:)
      1. Never and I repeat, never use more than 1 exclamation mark in a paragraph unless a life is at stake.
2.hmm c’est quoi le problème avec l’utilisation du français pour un simple merci? Pourquoi pas l’allemand?
      Juste curieux …
