We though Ms. Lamba looked quite nice at a recent store launch, but her coin-purse clutch ruined it for us! And so, she gets a ‘On the fence’ from us; what about you?

  1. don’t like the pockets peeking out from under the shirt…she should have worn a simple tucked in blouse to accentuate the way the skirt falls on her hips…also the blouse is overly frilly and puffy and I hate those awful black buttons…she’s really cute looking but something or the other doesn’t click with the outfits she tries…

  3. lol @deewani. i do agree, but then again, to each his own.

anyway, PnP, i like the way you guys matched the voting bars with her skirt 😉

re: the outfit, agree entirely with Anu.

  5. The overall look is not bad- in fact the purse does go with the outfit. My only gripe is that the top partially covers the pockets- she should have worn a shorter top .

  6. @deewani: ouch! though i will say that sadly there’s a lot of people out there who see it that way. 🙁

As for the outfit, I really like it! Would not mind having that in my closet! Speaking of brands and such, this look could easily be replicated at any price, which is definitely a great thing.

  7. For once, i think she looks lovely. The shape of the blouse and skirt flatter her figure and the colours are fresh. Finally!

  8. she did great here considering her recent fiascos. I am very glad she went back to this hairstyle..the bangs spread over her forehead looked ridiculous. Agree with the opinion on the purse completely. And btw P&P are not always abt expensive :p they don’t like LV stuff if anyone noticed.

  9. ha ha. Deewani is quite right, these not so loaded actresses always get the raw deal here. But if it’s some very hi-end brand, then their products are analyzed and then finally endorsed by this blog, wonder what these people will really think if they don’t know the origin of a certain product, like that limited edition rosette clutch Gauri Khan was seen carrying which was ugly as hell. There were many others but i can’t remember right now.

I love this blog, but style is not about how much you spend on it. It never was, Coco Chanel was a seamstress and most of the top brand founders come from really low-income families. People should get real.

Minisha should change her hair color, there’s a good way to do burgundy and this is not it. This one is so outdated. Nothing wrong with the look, she looks nice and happy. The pockets jutting out would be the only sore point for me…

  10. I actually like the vintage looking clutch. I dont know here to start- the colour, the cutr, the bad blowdry- the hair completely spoils the look for me. Love both the shirt and the skirt, but wish she had tucked in her shirt to show off the skirt pockets.

  11. continuing the thread last picked up by @Pavani: If they do not like LV, it means they dont approve of ALL expy stuff. That still might not disprove @deewani’s comment about favoring big designers/brands over no-names.

BTW, i am not endorising either view…just pointing out a logical loophole in the statements!

This is a fashion website..so it is natural to see big names featured here. The DIY looking stuff featured here has been called out for looking poorly conceived/finished (the applique-y clothes zoya and aud wore at a recent bash etc.)…but there have been some hurrahs for simple elegant clothes (no big designers) sported by Konkona Sharma and so on.

She looks really chick here… infact I love the whole white withe lovelt color of the skirt….
and the puffy sleeves and frills on the tp and the skirt makes her figure flatter…
