Wearing an Anavila linen sari, Mini emceed a book launch recently. Curly hair worn partially pinned back, neutral pumps and jewelry that included a cocktail ring and assorted bangles finished out her look.
Though the choice to wear those pumps with the sari had us stumped, can’t fault rest of the look. Like almost always, she wears her sari well; Ms. Mathur looked good. (P.S: If you must wear pumps with saris, peep-toes work best.)

She looks good but she should’ve worn peep-toes and covered her pallu properly.
Yeah I don’t get this sloppy draping. They want to look casual in a sari but surely this is not the way.
I think it a great look. The saree is lovely and the drape couldn’t have been better with a blouse like this which isn’t itsy-bitsy and clingy. I’d want to wear this look as is with beige strappy heals.
I absolutely do not understand this celebrity saree draping style! Don’t get me wrong, I do not have cultural social issues about one boob show/ womens’ modesty issues etc etc. I just think that this kind of desperate draping looks sloppy and ruins the overall outfit.
I think the shoes work perfectly! She looks elegant. You don’t have to wear peep toes with sarees lol did you just come up with that today.
Don’t like the drape at all. Make a nice look go bad.
Mini always look fab in a saree, love the way shes styled it and the shoes are fine they actually make this rather drab saree look elegant.
I agree, the pumps add some cosmopolitan flair.
The saree is drab, and the draping even more so. A rare miss from Mini.
I think shoes are perfectly fine with saris.. specially at formal events. They make the look classy.

I am not a big fan of the drape , but, for her in this look it’s not a deal breaker. I am not sure if it’s actually making this look better , adding just the right amount of oomph to it ..!!
I just wish the fit at the bust was a little better , but again she looks so good n refreshing that it easily can be overlooked.

Is it just me – but the fit of the blouse seems to be off at the shoulders. She looks lovely as she always does, but the saree reads a little drab, especially paired with a blouse of the same color and pattern. She needed something to punch it up a little.
EWW. Why couldn’t she drape that pallo properly? This looks awful.
