Sari Style

The lovely ladies both picked silk saris to wear while at the Awards and, while they both looked nice, it was easy for us to pick a favorite. Mini had this one in the bag, easy.

  1. Mini looks amazing! Love the way she accessorized the traditional saree with the more contemporary earrings! I don’t think I have ever seen Mini in a saree look that I did not like! I totally understand Vidya sticking to Desi wear, especially sarees for her appearances, but I wish she would take some risks in styling herself better with her hair, jewellery and accessories!

    • Hi, Mini’s saree is a pure silk one that is woven in Chanderi. Its one of the Raw mango’s collection, a design studio based in Delhi.

    • you know.. I never felt this in all those pics from her marriage in those overwhelming saris when people thought she’s covering it up…

but here, just her face totally makes me feel she is… when the sari drape is relatively better!

  4. Mini does look lovely!!! Vidya…er well…the less said the better. I like her in sarees but she should take a cue from Mini on how to style them…no reason to always come off with the auntyji vibe…she has a beautiful face.

  5. Oh wow Mini’s sari is fantabulous! And the blouse pairing is perfecttt. Lovely vibrant hues. WANTTT!! Vidya looks older than her years with the dated makeup and styling. How good would she have looked in Mini’s sari and fresh faced dewy makeup!!

  6. vidya balan has some weird allergy to draping. if she pleated her pallu once in a while, her dime a dozen sabyas and silks would at least look 10x better.
