At The Races

Sunday we were so busy paying attention to the Oscars, we missed the Poonawalla ladies at the races. I adored the fascinator on Michele who wore it with a strapless Dolce & Gabbana dress and nude Choos (a good call considering the rest of her look was so eye-catching).

Natasha was also in attendance and her fascinator would explain the disheveled hair that we saw at the Charcoal Project event.

Whose “race” look do you prefer?

  1. I’m loving this whole trend of dressing up for the races amongst Mumbai socialites. Its very rarely that we see Desi celebs try something different and chic, so I”ll give them both an A+ for effort. Michelle looks more sophisticated, Natasha looks more adorable.

Now hopefully, the men will be inspired to wear classic linens and well-tailored suits. (I cannot emphasize this enough, since even our top actors do not seem to wear proper fitting suits)

  2. Sorry but both look ridiculous in their resp fascinators. Natasha’s cutesy pose and face always ruins the edgy look the Brit ladies have it going for them when they wear one. The one on Michelle is covering up her one eye and makes her look clownish. Like her dress though.

  4. Michelle should have skipped the pendant. she looks kinda strange with the fascinator, the loose hair and the sunglasses… a neat chignon would be more classy, sorry – i can only appreciate the individual pieces, and I must say they look damn funny overall.

  5. Those fascinators are hideous abominations. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone pull off a substantial fascinator so I wouldn’t fault the Poonawalla women too much. Just wear a delicate fascinator or an elaborate hat – don’t try to mash up the two.
