Dramatic prints aren’t for everyone, clashing prints even less so. But when done right, separates in (mis)matched prints can both help one stand out and be individualistic. Who wants to be a wall flower really?

If you have always wanted to mix prints but have been scared to, here’s an easy one, two, three. Pick something with an easy, casual vibe. Start with colors in the same family. Take black and white for instance… While the separates can be two strikingly different prints, being of the same color, will be easier to pair. When wanting to play with different colors and prints, stick to complimentary colors. Like say purple and pink! And finally, for bit of a retro spin (you know we like our vintage), pick graphic prints that are only slightly different from each other. Say polka dots with smaller dots or horizontal stripes with vertical stripes for that rad Seventies vibe.

The key to mixing prints boils down to really owning what you wear. And having fun with it! Go on, try something new this year!
