Puppet Fashion
For their second anniversary, Marie Claire invited several designers to dress up two-feet tall Rajasthani puppets in their signature style and here are some of them.
I can’t decide on a favorite, love the OTT nature of the Gaurav Gupta gown and the simple white of the Rohit Bal one. Do you have a favorite?
You can check out more of them here.

Love Gaurav Gupta’s. Not too familiar with him. Can you post more of his clothes.
Oooh love Gaurav Gupta, he transformed the humble kathputli in to a piece of art while remaining true to the traditional colors used (well mainly red). Love it love it love it!
i like the manish arora best. very cute.
I like Rohit bal’s creation.
What an awesome idea! Sooo creative!!
Sabyasachi’s creation reminds me of Rani’s character in Black. It looks like something her character would have worn.
These are beautiful!! Thanks for linking! And I totally agree with ice princess re: Rohit Bali’s design… gorgeous.
lovveed all of them….
what a great idea and so well executed….
thanx for bringing this to us…
i loveee manish arora’s the most!
Very creative idea! All the designers executed well, can’t say i have any complaints. Gaurav and Rohit’s are pretty awesome 🙂
remembers me of Viktor & Rolf also made dolls with their clothes on..
Rohit Bal is a clear fav for me. too good and a pleasant change from the (living)glam dolls.
Gaurav Gupta and Manish Arora…very creative and quirky at the same time.
I love the three by Rohit,Gaurav and Manish(my favorite).
Sabyasachi didn’t get much creative with his doll.
