Louis. Love?

It was the Spring 2008 line of Louis Vuitton bags that made us abandon the hate, because we couldn’t help but fall in love with the colorful bags brought to us by Marc’s yet another fabulous collaboration: this collection being with artist/photographer Richard Prince.

Alas, never in a million years, did we think that the first sighting of bag from the collection (which came after almost 3 years) would almost make us fall out of love with it. The operative word being almost. It’s not so much that we hate the flimsy top (Ok, we do!) or the white shoes but it’s the two-inches-too-short cami top inside. It brought the whole look down several notches.

  1. gosh, this whole look is so wannabe-ish! NOTHING works, not that sheer shirt, not the too-short cami, not those clunky white shoes, not that bag, not that hair. Manyata looks best in Indianwear, esp slightly blingy sarees

  2. Let’s all say it together: SHE is the reason everything looks cheap. She simply killed every single item. I can’t even bear to look at this!

  3. I think its her hair that lets her down so badly, why can’t she just cut it and get it straightened for gods sake?!! It would make so much difference, and I agree she looks better in indian clothes ; she should steer clear of western clothes.

  4. Ugh…I absolutely abhor this bag…yes, intense hate!
When I first saw this bag in the Sex and the City movie, when SJP gifts it to Hudson, I was shocked at how gaudy and ugly it was….I would’t touch it if it was lying on the street…but again thats just me…..:)

Anyways the one is the pic is a slightly better version but again its the type that will probably only look good if one of the “Gossip girl” starts were to carry it with their edgy and trendy outfits…again just maybe/probably…..

  5. I won’t be surprised if it turns out that the “designer bag lady” Ameesha Patel gifted her this bag. She is her very good fren and she loved designer labels esp when it comes to bags…

  8. You wont even know she is carrying a Louis Vuitton and honestly the best proof that it is the person that makes the clothes work and not vice-versa…
