She has worn this sari in Rituparno Ghosh’s Bengali movie “Khela” .. the part 1 of the movie(available in YouTube) has her in this sari.

LUB LUB LUB … this color combination…

But the whole look gets a thumbs down

Whats with the ugly glasses and that necklace totally does not go with the look.

Never wear a sari with your hands ‘bare’ – at least one bangle could have been worn.

Simple gold jewelery would look good.

Thats like something my grandmother would say!! I dont feel you need to wear bangles all the time on saree, shes going for a simple modern look and she looks fantastic, although the shades worn indoors look a little silly, esp. with the saree.

Very cute in that lovely cotton saree….perfect for Indian heat. Just because she wore the saree so well (Vidya Balan, hope you are tuning in), I’ll forgive her the bag and those shades. She must have just walked in from the street.

She is looking gorgeous in saree minus shades.
Her jewellary is great. She is so cute in 1st pic and so dull and tired looking in 2nd.

beautiful saree, its from Orissa,a bomkai or sambalpuri saree if I am not mistaken

Yup. Its a cotton bomkai. My mum is from orissa, she really has a fascinating collection of orissa handlooms. They work perfect for calcutta heat and humidity. I think she just walked in thats why she has the shades on, i bet she knows the shades look off.

Wow what a nice saree (I want) – if only she had removed the shades and kept the purse away – it would have been a fab appearance.
