In Ali Mahdavi
Continuing to favor a certain color palette, Ms. Sherawat once again wore Ali Mahdavi on the red carpet. And there’s no denying, she fared way better than the last time.
To me, the hood was a dampener. It may have been dramatic on someone else but considering Ms. Sherawat’s propensity to showboat on the red carpet, this just ends up looking campy. But let’s just pretend it’s not there, shall we? That said, she looked great! The hair and make-up really works.

She looks like some Arab flight’s air hostess to me in this picture :p
I totally agree with you.
i second that…. lol… first thought that came in my head..
I actually really really liek this look…this is something different for her….she oooks glamours with make up and hair…nd i;m really digging the hood. thumps up! she wanted attention nd she got mine!
ditto ! Something very different for her and its so nice to NOT see her skin.
lol, wut is this?
on someone else, great look. and shockingly – not too bad on her. credit to the hair , makeup and the lack of pout or teeth.
I agree that the hood ruins it for her. the make up, though is great. particularly like the hair!
she looks like she works at Emirates. lol
tomorrow she’s going to ditch the hood for a cape!
oh gawd..she definitely needs a stylist. where’s that bold sexy mallika?? do love her hair n makeup though, really good
I like that she has covered herself up completely after baring so much a few days back. She looks good in a Star Trek kinda way. Kudos to the dare. Her make-up and hair are fab.
You’re right about the Star Trek vibe. This would be good for Comic Con, not Cannes.
lol…@eclat… agreed….
very nice. the hair and make up look great and what a change! thumbs up
Star trek any one????…;)
The hood is ridiculous and it’s also quite silly to keep sticking to beige. She looks like a big beige bandage.
I like the makeup. I keep wondering why is she at Cannes (not being snarky, genuinely curious). Anyone knows?
Im curious too. Genuinely!
i have been wondering that for the past few years since she started appearing in cannes. No clue yet.
She was invited by AMFAR as their representative.
Oh, okay. She did work for the AIDS foundation? I hadn’t known about that, either.
i dont like it- the whole thing is too flight hostess-y for me esp the maroon listick against the beige cape. just coz she is actually dressed doesnt mean we should applaud- hate the make up and the hair. dress is just about ok. lets admit anything would have beaten the last appearance
It looks like whoever custom made the dress for her bought reams of the one fabric and made 2 dresses out of it!
In both cases the dresses look so unfinished – like a Project Runway design.
Her hair in make-up in this appearance is flawless though
Exactly my thoughts glycerine…
Ali Mahdavi must have brought reams of the same fabric from Paris for Ms sherawat to stitch them into dresses on the spot.
Dramatic make-up is quite nice. I like the dress…really shows off her fab curves.
It makes me laugh 🙂 She gives a completely 180 degree turn to her previous look but using the same color and the same fabric. A little out of the context but I would love to see Kangna some day at Cannes .. She is really good at experimenting diff styles .. I am sure she will rock it!
I never knew she could do stuff like this. She looks damn neat!!
what a face. i think she looks statesque. i think everyone commenting here has a hard time liking this look because they cant get over they’re own harsh judgements of her.
Ummmm she reminds me of Elvira or Morticia Adams from the Adams family…except they wore black and she is in nude. No doubt the bod is a killer but err this is a nude mess!!
Whats wrong with you PnP? ” considering Ms. Sherawat’s propensity to showboat on the red carpet”?? really?
I thought it would be ” We are glad that she is chaging it up!”
anyways.. I loved her here.
I wondered too about that statement. Really PnP? This is derogatory statement and I wish you’d take it back.
*changing
Cut the woman a break! She looks good…certainly prefer her to Sonam’s do.
Finally, she looks great!
She makes me laugh but kudos to her for wearing what she wants as opposed to conforming…its just not what I like
