In Manav Gangwani
March 5th, 2009 at 9:09 pm . by PayalMalaika Khan (Zayed’s wife) wore a white Manav Gangwani sari. In a way, I wish that she had gone with a simpler blouse instead of that turtle-necky one that she had on.
Although, I hated Freida’s sari color (who was also wearing a Manav sari), I do like her blouse design better than Malaika’s. What about you?
P.S. I know you might confuse the names but Zayed’s wife’s name IS Malaika and not Mallika. ;)

if you notice the embroidery on the blouses is almost same, except for that blingy ugly turtle neck part the outfits are fairly similar.
it looks like a combination of saran wrap and aluminium foil and the blouse is also too blingy..don’t like the saree at all!

this style is outrageous and very unattractive. completely lacking in grace.
I can’t really conclude if I like Malaika’s sari or even Freida’s for that matter, but Malaika’s way of draping the pallu is very interesting and different. Which I kinda sora like!

Is a WTHEYY section coming up for the weding reception? Because there will be major competition between Nandita’s mahtanis transparent sari with half her legs showing and Twinkle.
I think a saree looks best kept simple like aish’s appearance at Filmfare or Sonali’s appearance at idol…while other ways of draping it, funky blouses etc etc all can look very fashionable and nice too..it just doesnt come close to the ethnic look

do not care for the outfit.Must add her to the list of those who needs a good hair cut and better color.

it does notbhing for her – not sure if she is slightly curvy or if it’s all the draping that is making her look less than svelte – but not doing it for me oh and the £5 home hair dye job needs to be fixed too…

well i dnt go for over blingy blouses….but this drape i actually a nice way if u want to cover up your flabby waist….would look better if executed properly..and neither one have done the job

I love this new type of sari wearing…sure the sari is best worn traditionally, but its nice to see something different once in a while.
