In Seema Khan

Wearing a pink and silver Seema Khan sari, Malaika attended the Morani-Singh wedding reception. With her hair in an updo, she finished out the look with a pink lip, statement earrings and a solitary cuff. The blouse might not be my cup of tea personally, but there’s no denying Malaika wears the look well; she looked good!

  1. I love the combination. Maybe used before but its still a whiff of fresh air amidst the perennial combination of hot pink with golden. I love her blouse. This woman has it in her, to make jaws drop everytime. I think she looks gorgeous!

Not happy with the partial boob show again, but that aside, she looks beautifulll!!!!!!! Look at her petite figure and then over it the gorgeous saree.. can give Deepika run for her money!

  2. this is just tack-tastic in my book, especially the combination of the shiny blouse, the matching lipstick and so much bling. The saree isn’t bad but there’s too much blingy accessorizing going on that brings down the look so much.

  3. Not thrilled with the drape – for two reasons. Firstly, I get the logic of only partially covering the breasts when you have a blouse that has detail not just on the sleeve, but here, I think the sleeve is the more interesting part of the blouse (or rather, the neckline), so she easily could have draped her breasts fully without losing the effect of the blouse. Secondly, and more importantly, I think the pleated drape was too stiff – I really wish she had left it open (or at least let some of the top portion hang off) to get a more softer effect.

But these are minor gripes on the saree, although I do think she is let down on the styling – too much blingy jewelry, and clashing lipstick and nail colour. Still, she looks beautiful.

  4. I have a very similar looking sari that I haven’t worn yet because I don’t know how the blouse should be made! This looks kinda tacky to me so anyone here want to give me ideas on what might look nice with this sari? Thanks.

  5. I’m a bit confused, why is one breast always exposed when these women wear saris these days. Is it to show off the blouse if it has some work done on it or something? Because it looks vulgar and takes away from the graceful garment that a sari has always been.
