I have read quite a few comments on several sites as Amisha Patel not dressing her age, I feel the same with Malaika. She tries real hard to look sexy in very outfit she wears. No doubt she has the best body and me being her age wish i could be any where close to her perfect bod. But that said one can look sexy even in a simple fuss free outfit, we rarely get such siting. Its mostly minis, plunging neck line, bodycons, distressed jeans, stilettos…. wish to see her in payal khandawala, anavilla, grassroots by anita dongre, not always but few siting would be worth, she could easily pull it off.

+1. She doesnt get trashed as Ms.Patel though both their type of clothing choice is tacky to trashy. Recently Ms.Arora started looking a bit classy but still she always has to need to show skin/or body hugging clothes. And also though the body is good, her face does shows the maturity so some looks come off looking very trying hard type.

Maliaka looks awesome. ..If if had that banging body at 40, even I would have been wearing that attire(with different shoes of course)
I think generally we Indians put so much emphasis on age appropriate clothes. If that person looks good and can carry off that attire, what’s age got to do with it?? I really feel getting old is depressing old in India..so many dos and donts. Do and dress the way you feel , not what the age tells u ..

I agree with you totally. Thank God for people like Malaika. Why pick on women? When Amitabh Bachchan wore a distressed leather jacket and jeans like a teenager would, no one complained. I don’t understand why in India people don’t like older women. Once I was in New York with my mum and by a coincidence we were staying in the same hotel as the delegates to the annual United Nations General Assembly and many of the other guests thought that my mum was also a fellow delegate. Then a few days later we went to a function in our Indian community in London and people were treating my mum like she doesn’t exist.

I don’t think it’s as much about age as it is about carrying it off. Sometimes you just can’t carry off a lot of the looks that you could when you were younger.
I’ve noticed malaik has been changing it up lately. She doesn’t always go the sexy route now.

Why would they dress like that in Bombay in September? Winter/ fall hasn’t even hit Delhi yet!

With legs like that, who cares about the boots :-) Malaika could wear chappals and still look hot.

Amrita on the other hand, looks like she came out of an igloo.

Malaika may be wearing something a little too ‘young’ for her, but, heck she is rocking the crap out of the dress!

Malaika looks nice, but a pair of strappy heels or pumps would have classed things up a bit.
As for Amrita, she looks bad as always. The garish make-up, the forced pouting, the lip job (?), the inexplicable thigh-highs et al. We have ourselves a WTHeyy!
