okay, i was looking at the rest of the photos from the event. couldn’t the photographers have found a better place than next to the airconditioner for half the pictures? it almost seems as if all the celebrities were waiting in line to get to the a.c. and have their picture taken, like it was santa or something. well, come to think of it, that’s probably how it happens at these dos.

Why ape the west blindly with regard to dress designs. Indians are curvier, shorter, and these kinds of outfits truly do a disservice to the figure. Unless you are tall, slightly less full on top, I cannot see this dress working. Even if you are petite but skinny this could work. Most women after 30 plus should lay off such clothes, but celebrate with age appropriate ones.

    @ herdisnot –

How is this dress not age-appropriate for someone 30 plus?? I love dresses like this, they’re summery and comfortable and she looks great in it. She looks very ‘age appropriate’, and I rather see women in these kinds of dresses then those ridiculous tight ones they try to squeeze their bodies into!

Quite a blah outfit, but looks real comfortable.
    Me likes the sunglasses!!

@coconut, please notice the figure type mentioned. if you are leggy, tall, you could still carry off this number at sixty…it looks goshawful when you are oozing in the wrong places. of course, gravity also plays a part…

and yes, I was referring to the ones you are talking about too..coconut “tight ones …squeeze.’ this one is not such a bad number, but the wrinkles in the linen is not really uplifting the wearer.

The stifling heat makes it all the more difficult to look “put together”, weather appropriate, and comfortable at the same time. I think this look accomplishes all three criteria.

What I like about this woman is she knows how to accessorise her outfits perfectly. The detail on the bottom of the dress draws your eyes downwards and then you see these super cute flat slippers.
She has chosen the perfect length necklace that again draws your eyes downwards.

The handbag is subtle to finish this great look to perfection.

This woman is a real stylish. I love this refined, natural but stylish look.

I love this outfit. I love the flat slippers. Sweet and refreshingly summery.

Pendant is really cool too. The bag is okay.
