While she looked beautiful in the sequin gown, we would have loved to see a different hairdo.

She looks divine. I think the hair works with the dress; it’s all very archetypical movie star.
Not just her hair, but the heavy make-up, stiff pose and frozen expression are also not doing her any favor. The gown was nothing extra-ordinary anyway…

Absolutely. For some strange reason, she seems to have adopted this matronly/body builder pose for the cameras lately. Plus, she SLOUCHES whenever she is in western wear, clear sign of her being uncomfortable,as she is doing here. It isn’t about the clothes you wear, it is about whether they become you and whether you can carry them off. If you cannot, it shows. She looks terrible.

This lady can carry off anything without looking like a prop !!! People may have complaints wid her hairdo, but i for one love the Madhuri curls.
BTW , Jan’13 issue of Folmfare had a poll and Madhuri came second on India’s style Icon (Female) list :P

She doesn’t have the body to pull of such clingy gowns….should stick to indian wear …..or maybe not …..needs intervention there too…….oh well !!!!
She looks as bad as usual. Clothes that don’t suit her body. Such slinky gowns need a very toned, worked out Deepika Padukone type of body.
Her make-up has always been horrible. It was bad even in her heyday but a cake face can be covered up on screen. Not so in real life and with the high resolution cameras of today.
There are women much older than her like Sharmila Tagore who look just fabulous. I don’t know why Madhuri never seems to look right.

Isnt this gown reminiscent of what Priyanka’s Cavalli gown at Screen awards.. The same neckline the same shimmery fabric..
She looks terrible. She does not have a defined waist, so the clingy gown just makes her look stumpy.
Plus the dated hair and frozen face are only worsening the look.
Am sorry but Madhuri is really not that old. She has a lot of potential to maintain her looks and figure but she does not seem to be making an effort.
that is a really horrible gown, esp on someone with narrow shoulders like MD. Those sleeves are extra tacky. There’s something off about her face and that hair needs an intervention. all in all, very disappointing. MD can do WAY WAY better. she dazzles in traditional Indian saris; that’d have been the way to go. She needs to stop trying to outdo Sridevi. Seriously.
gown’s a lovely color but too mother-of the-bride. she looks so lovely when she sticks with simple lines.
