  1. No. Definitely not liking the saree and especially not liking how she is carrying it. People wear better in tv serials.

  2. Absolutely vulgar way to drape, and the sheer material just makes it look more tacky. The unfortunate part is that this is Madhuri Dixit we are talking about – she doesnt need to do this sort of styling at this juncture, also for her body type and age it looks even more odd.

Wish she’d at some point go the classy route and confidently sport her best style accessories – a.k.a her smile and grace.

This look just drips of tackiness.

  3. She never seems to catch a break and get *all* right in the same look. Her hair looks lovely, the saree in concept should work and turn her into a glamazon. However, something about the blouse (buttons in the front?), the clashing earrings and the drape make this really *TACKY*.

  4. I wish Madhuri would be more accepting and comfortable with her age. The half boob drape, the sheer fabric showing off her stomach, constantly being chammak challo with the garish gold and bright colors.. it’s so off putting.

There are so many saris to choose from that would not be this tacky. Imagine her wearing the sari that Kiran Rao is wearing instead. It would make her look so much better.

    • I not a fan of this look but I do think Madhuri owns her age and her curves. Her tummy looks perfectly fine to me and at least she is not drowning in lengths and lengths of fabric. If she would just give the bling a break!

And I totally agree with you about Madhuri trying the saree Kiran Rao wore -that’s the first thought that came to my mind :)

  5. With a sheer saree like that, she should have avoided the traditional front button blouse. A different blouse & this look could have worked.

  6. Argh! Upstaging Madhuri’s beauty and smile is no easy feat, but her choice of sarees and salwar kameez(s) with all the bling that she seems to adore does just that!

I would kill to see Madhuri in a simple raw-cotton or silk saree with minimal non-blinding accessories. She does not NEED the extra help to get her noticed!
