Wow..! With his looks and sense of dressing, he surely puts a lot of youngins to shame..

    He looks GOOOOOD..

These are really not very nice at all. Especially, the first two pictures.

He’s looking tired and down because the man is aging. I think he looks really good for his age and I love this spread. I highly doubt SRK/Salman and the other men in Bolly would ever pull it off the way Amitabh does.

I used to be such a die hard fan of him when I was younger but not so much anymore. These pics dont do anything for me but I must say he is still looking great for his age.

I think the clothes in the first two pics are too gaudy.. and the last two leave me underwhelmed.

On an aside… I really wish magazines dint put celebs on the cover of just about every magazine! Bring out the models I say!! Have you noticed there hasnt been a single model as big as Ujwala Raut in recent times?

    Na…i’m not impressed.

Besides, the black and white photo looks like his face has been “pasted” on someone else’s body.

The styling is just awful! A man of Amitabh’s age and stature should look dignified and awe-inspiring. Instead he is made to look silly and loud in these pics.
Please get rid of the multi-colored hair and the velvet clothing..its so hideous!

I like the more natural b&w third photo. He looks great but the concept/direction could have been different. Flamboyant clothes don’t suit him. Simple, conservative and yet dashing ones do. Just my take.

The old man looks good except for the velvet pants. All the people making negative comments about older actors and actresses need to realize that the current actors too are getting older and looking their age. Let’s see what you have to say when your favorite actors are his age.

  17. pdaervo at | | Reply

    he’s just awesome …period.
to act at the pace that he stll does STILL- it’s like India’s Clint Eastwood

  18. priya at | | Reply

love him! but hate the clothes.

  19. Neha at | | Reply

The man looks like a joke. It’s the unforgivable mehendi-red hair and white beard combo that’s doing him no favours. Plus those awful velvet trousers and whatnot. Amitabh looks best simple and classic. Here he just looks…silly.

I am sick of this man. He does not exude the class he thinks he does.

  21. anon at | | Reply

He is really representative of how far people would go if media lets them!!!!!! I guess its obsession of junta that would not let a old old man be!

  22. Nidhi at | | Reply

terrible! plus it looks like he is trying to hard.

  23. desipolitan at | | Reply

Can somebody please explain the whole white goatee/dark hair phenomenon? He’s been sporting it for a while and I just don’t get it.

  24. tina at | | Reply

I think he needs to stop doing silly poses and trying to relieve his youth. It doesn’t look good at all.

That white beard with dyed hair on the head (or wig) will never be stylish!!

He looks good for his age because he has money to appear young. I’m with ‘SHY’. I just don’t get it… the pics. do nothing for me, but that could just be because I’m biased against the man… nah it’s just weird and gaudy and if I didn’t know him then, fine, those bottom two are of class :)

isn’t he too old for velvet jackets and patent leather shoes

i hear there’s a steamy spread with rahul khanna inside. please post if you can. i couldn’t find the mag here in pune.

  30. sarah at | | Reply

Yes, please retire gracefully AB, these pics do nothing for me either.
I desperately want to keep the memories of Namak Haram, Anand, Abhimaan, Majboor etc., don’t know why AB is hell bent on destroying them.

Just because he’s old he should go and lock himself up in his house?

Get someone youngers. I’m sorry .. Amitabh just doesn’t do it with these kinds of clothes or poses.

totally agree with Carol and Pdaervo ,
what is this age thing , if he is happy doing what he wants let him be , does he have to take sanyaas and sit at home.
    loved the accompanying interview :-)

He looks good but I think certain people need to retire and rest including him, he has been in and out of hospital for quit sometimes now

  39. me at | | Reply

one more thing, I think at his age he needs to get out of the world of entertainment and use his fame and name for social or political causes, he can raise awarness about AIDS or help fight poverty in India or things like that, it doesn’t suit him any more to run around the trees and wear designers and act like he is 20, I think it ruins his status and fame, he can be a powerful man interms of bring change and bettering India, he shouldn’t care a lot about making money and being among young entertainers any more

I hope he suffocates in all those swathes of velvet! Ugly, ugly velvet.

  41. Sharin at | | Reply

He’s an actor. Why does he need to switch careers and become a politician or humanitarian? Being an actor is a legitimate career, it’s not just a fad or a phase that only young people are allowed to be in.
