Hey Delhi, Bangalore, and Mumbai residents. Here is a giveaway that will sweeten your Diwali just a wee bit more.

The folks at Lindt chocolates are giving away one hamper to one reader from each of the above cities. And if you are really lucky, your box may contain the winning offer that also wins a 3 night/4 day trip to Switzerland. (Diclaimer: All Lindt hampers come with a chance to win the trip and that is valid till 31st October. )

So what do you have to do to win? Tell us via comments where Lindt originates from and which city you are from. (Leave your email only in the email field) As usual, we’ll only approve the comments and pick the winners after the contest is over.

Contest is open to Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai residents only and ends on Oct 25th 11:59pm India time.

  2. the father and son David Sprรผngli-Schwarz and Rudolf Sprรผngli-Ammann started with small confectionery in Zurich…in 1845…that’s what lead to factory in two yrs and much more later…

  4. well i love them so much.. used to get their chocolates all the way froma different city as they were not available in mine.

    ok answer time. they started their first shop in zurich.

    and my journey with them started when iwas a child in guwahati and now i am all grown up in delhi

  5. Lindt’s origins go back to a small confectionery shop in the Old Town of Zurich.

    Lindt ( the brand )originated from Bern, from the shop which originally belonged to Rodolphe Lindt, and it was acquired by Johann Rudolf in 1899.

    My brother worked for a while in Zurich, Switzerland for the Credit-Suisse Bank….He had mentioned that Sprungli and Lindt were traditionally from Zurich, Switzerland…Aaahh..Sweet Delight….(He got back loads of Lindt chocolates!)

  18. Zurich- The origins of the company date back to 1845. David Sprรผngli-Schwarz and his son, Rudolf Sprรผngli-Ammann owned a small confectionery shop in the old town of ZURICH to which two years later a small factory was added to produce chocolate in solid form.

    Then, in 1899 “Chocolat Sprรผngli AG” bought the Berne-based chocolate factory including the exclusive manufacturing secrets and the famous brand from Rodolphe Lindt, and went on to change their name to “Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Sprรผngli AG”.

The original origins were as small confectionery shop in the old town of Zurich in 1845, but after acquisition of the chocolate factory of Rodolphe Lindt in Bern in 1899, the company changed its name to Aktiengesellschaft Vereinigte Berner und Zรผrcher Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Sprรผngli (United Bern and Zurich Lindt & Sprungli Chocolate Factory Ltd.).

  24. Iam from Bangalore and first fell in love with Lindt in Sweden when my boyfriend (now husband) and I together ate a single piece of it and have never known a smoother choc than this . I call it a KISSER ! It bonded us forever!
    We tried our best during our stay, but in vain, to visit the original Marktgasse in Zurich’s old town. Official town and now headquarters are in Kilchberg, Switzerland.
