I agree. Unfortunately, there are always those who are quick to defend MM. The latest one said to me was that MM is India’s ‘most prolific designer’ so of course his designs aren’t always going to be original. Riiiight, makes sense…
Some people do find his styles predictable, but i always end up liking it because of the subtle feminity of his styles. May not be a die-hard fan but his colors and fall of the garments are always so pretty!
Row 2nd, picture second, that is when you call in your local darzi, and fire MM!
But on a serious note, it looks like MM is just churning out designs we can copy at the local ‘material+stitching’ shop. There is no element of design to his work, ever!
this looks heavily sabya-inspired!
Ya, I would be impressed with the direction he took if I hadn’t seen most of this stuff before.
Like how? He always used net, satin and velvet and these ones have those too.
this is exactly what i thought!! even the styling is similar. So heavily “inspired” by Sabya.
esp, the second in the first row….

Every month there’s some kinda fashion week or jewellery week going on. Yawnnnnn. The creations look very Sabya-ish.
Very wearable collection . I like it
so uninspiringly boring. yawnzies.
I like the 4th row particularly the second one. The mens line looks nice and wearable than the clown clothes we saw at the other fashion show(s).
WOW! First time I literally stopped in my tracks by MM!
looks like manish has lost his creativity, a couple of these pieces are nice but look too much like sabyasachi’s
MM’s gone minimalstic…. I actually like a few of the above looks….
I am still trying to get my head around the shirt having an open back worn with a lehenga.. New kinda corporate wear…
I ACTUALLY like some of these piece 😮
Thank God for no anarkalis with BIG borders
What happened to MM? This is surprisingly likable.
