In BCBG

Ms. Dutta wears a variation of the same BCBG gown that we saw back in Nov on Mallika Sherawat. Mallika herself looked so fab but who would’ve thought that anyone could do one better. Lara does, by pairing the gown with that necklace and earrings. She looks so good, I am going to ignore that flashy Vuitton clutch.

  1. NOOOO! there are so many things i do not like about this look. From that chain around her neck, to those earrings, and her hair, and the way she’s holding the clutch in the first snap, there are so many things that are so off about this whole look!

  2. faaaaaaaaaaaaaaantastic. this woman rarely has a mis-step! love this look…one could question whether the look was more resort appropriate rather than red carpet ready…but whatever, it works 🙂

  3. She looks good. But i am not feeling that necklace with the white dress. Love them as individual pieces. Maybe she was going for a hramahkrishna look? 😉

  4. im not liking this look at all! she looks absolutely lovely as usual, but this outfit is so not appropriate for an awards night! its too beachy, bohemian…

  5. my biggest objection (and yours) to mallika’s dress was the fabric – which is exactly the same fabric in lara’s dress. you didn’t like it on mallika, despite the fact that everything else was put together so well. so i can’t understand why you would like it on lara, where not only is that bag terrible, but the jewelry is also not the best(horizontal rows on the necklace do not go with either that neckline or the vertical stripes on the fabric; and those earrings don’t look great on the close-up)

      • are you kidding me ? mallika looks way better. her look is fresh and neat complete with accesories to match and her pose is more fun so is her hair. lara’s hair definitely wierd. i think she is having a bad hair day 😛 and her accesories are a definite WTHEYY for me.

  6. oh how i love this woman. there is no one like here in b’wood.
BUT even goddesses can go wrong 😀
i’m not feeling the look…it’s not right for an awards ceremony. the beads are throwing me off. like mj15 said it has a resort feel.

  7. I think the orange safari necklace is giving her that dash of color that’s missing in the dress but those earrings are just too mis-matched with that gorgeous necklace!! Overall I liked the gown but think it’s more of a casual dress than for an award’s night!! Wish she didn’t carry that hideous shiny clutch!!

  8. the costume jewellery doesn’t go well with the gown..could have been better with a few diamond pieces..otherwise she looks radiant…

  9. Without a second thought Lara is looking good in this dress but in my opinion the look doesn’t work for an awards function. If it was for a day event I would have totally loved the look but for a night event its meh

  11. Long time no see! I have my doubts about whether this is a ‘awards-night’ appropriate look, but Lara looks like a tall, cool, fit, refreshing tropical fruit drink.

  13. Firstly, mallika looked much better. Lara’s hair is completely wrong and makes her look awful. Secondly, I would have worn ONLY the necklace and ditched the earrings and the clutch

  14. I absolutely adore the bohemian chic vibe this look is channeling – I don’t think this particular ceremony is formal enough to warrant something more dressy; more elaborate gowns just look cheesy at some of these functions, and Lara’s look hits just the right notes of dressed-up and relaxed.

  15. I love the necklace paired with the dress. But the look isn’t very nice overall. The earrings and clutch are ugly and they don’t go with the outfit.

  16. I love the elegance of the white gown paired with the electic colorful necklace, she really made it work! Minus the LV clutch of course, a simple BV knot or a Judith Leiber would have done the trick

  17. I think I would pick Mallika over the two… the dress that Mallika was wearing looked slightly better to me. Don’t like the necklace, earrings, clutch and hair paired with Lara’s outfit. Mallika’s minimal accessories and avoiding colour also seemed to work and her hair if not great looked better than Lara’s hair in this case. Lara has a great personality though.

  18. you got to be kidding me!!! I don’t mean to be harsh but she ruined it with those hideous beeds! BUT The dress is very beautiful and she looks great in it!!! (without the beeded necklace! of course) its just way to long! errrr!
