In Sailesh Singhania

Comment image 19

Lakshmi attended a wedding in Hyderabad on Sunday wearing a Sailesh Singhania sari worn more in a lehenga style. Hair in a bun complete with mogra, her wedding outfit was finished out with a necklace from L. Bajrang and Pershad Co. Jewellers.

As much as I love the color combos and the sari itself, between the visible gold underskirt and the three-inch wide pallu cover, I really wasn’t a fan. The full-sleeve blouse here made the look feel rather stuffy. Glad she didn’t wear the earrings as well like she did in the pics that were taken before heading out.

P.S. Have you taken part in the Sailesh Singhania sari contest yet? Go here.

  1. Oh my eyes!! At first glance , all I could think was ‘what a disastrous look!!’ Only after reading the post I noticed that the sari is actually good, but everything apart from it is not working !! Especially the blouse, pulling off full hand blouses for sari itself is tricky by itself but when it is in neon colour and you are wearing it like this just makes it look tacky!

  2. The colours are great but somehow do not work on her. Such a contrast between the previous post & this one. Wish she kept it simple, sometime!

  3. I just noticed the cloth/ wooden birds hanging from the waist. This saree worn in the regular way with the pallu covering the chest and a half sleeved blouse would have looked nice. She could have worn the necklace or just big earrings with that. And no, no birds.

  4. What a hot mess. That ill fitting blouse on her body type, the way the drape is and the overall look as usual tacky/trashy. Seriously this lady can make anything look tackfest. LOL! And this Sailesh person needs to first work on his tailoring skills. 😛

  5. What on earth is this ??? This is a complete WTHEY! But kudos to her for walking out like that to any event!! Because there is no way on earth she didn’t know that it looked ridiculous.

  6. Drapes the sari in a tacky way and then draws attention to the chest with that statement neck piece!! The skirt drape is making her look fat and what are those birds (?) doing there? One thing though..I always like her for the bold fashion choices. But no excuse for this except not having a mirror.

  7. Make up and hair is spot on, love the neckpiece. Tons better than her usual outings. The drape of the Sari and Blouse fit & sleeve length are truly unfortunate choices and killed the look.

  8. Her make up is pretty good. The neckpiece is beautiful however she should have picked a better way to show case it. Displayed like this on her chest looks so tacky. The drape and the sloppy blouse totally ruined the look. She looks so wide and I am sure she was not going for that .The birds add to the over all confusion.

  9. Urghh!
Once again proving that money can’t buy class or taste.
PnP, I feel you guys should ditch Manchu and start covering Sandhya Raju – the Kuchipudi dancer and Hyderabadi socialite.

    • +1. Money can never buy class/or taste. There are so many South Indian actors/ celebs accomplished ones like Radhikaa, Suhasini, Saranya who wear their desi clothes so well.
