  2. while these particular outfits seem quite nice (well, most of them), i agree with suchi. ritu kumar’s “label” collection turns out looking kind of cheap in real. i think partly it’s the fabric she uses: this stretchy spandex type stuff that looks just like it has traditional indian embroidery in photos, but if you look at it in real, it’s just a print on the fabric.

but, that said, i have also found a couple of very pretty indo-western tops with lovely embroidery and mirror work.

  3. I love the clothes and I dig the bag in the last pic on the left coloumn with the runaway flowers–I want. Now. Bank account: prepare to be depleted. While I may not like the “Japanese warrior makeup and hair,” the clothes are amazing. Well done Ms. Kumar–you grande dame of fashion you!

  4. I love the first outfit. I have a similar cut outfit & I love wearing it with tights. Also like the yellow Tee & the skirt in the secong left column picture.

  5. I really like all the stuff. Actually saw the show yesterday and it was amazingy done. Good attention to detail. Especially the shoes – they’re fantastic and really add to the outfits.

The music used was good too. Kudos!

  7. @Spongy….Same pinch. Even I used to think who would wear such clothes and to what occassion. Now, I keep guessing how well these clothes could be worn off the runway.
