In Anamika Khanna

While on the sets of a television show to promote her upcoming movie, Katrina was photographed in an Anamika Khanna outfit. Wearing her hair down, the actor finished out the look with a bindi, gold jewelry and pair of neutral sandals.

While we loved this latest sari-inspired silhouette from the designer, we weren’t as convinced with its styling. A minor gripe though considering Ms. Kaif wore the look well.

    • “Nice and neat” “Barbie” “doll”. In other words, everything that’s wrong with India and its perpetual obsession with certain beauty standards. No, thank you. I’ll take the messy, undone, unfair and lovely any day.

    • LOL at Barbie town .At first I thought she was dressed for a bengali wedding or puja. I am still old fashioned and not ready for the new fangled style of wearing saris with pants. It looks like some kid is trying to dress up like mom or in this case Sonam Kapoor.

  1. This look somehow has a very Bengali vibe to it…would have looked fabulous at a durga pooja event.
    Katrina looks lovely though 🙂

  2. It reminds me that we’ve run out of tomatoes. Its bit too chamak challo for me. I particularly hate the saree blouse on pants combo. And ultimately the ‘Indian styling’ is not working. A crop top , less pancake, less jhumka bindi kajal and you have a maybe…

  3. Though the look is a little soap-starish, it is so unexpected on her that I love it. And I love the effortless vibe she sports. Also unexpected is that it is an Anamika Khanna which is not a beige or a dish water grey outfit. Loving that color and the bindi on her. I wish she had changed the shoes, maybe gold jootis would have looked great instead.

  5. Too much red for me.

I may be the only one but I don’t like it and I don’t see anything special in katrina (neither look wise nor talent wise)

    • Thank you. Katrina is good-looking with a toned and a well-maintained body. She looks hot in western wear and otherwise as well but majority of those times, I attribute her hotness vibes to her toned bod. Her face largely comes across very ‘soul-less’ to me for some reason even if she is smiling broadly (2nd last pic is her perennial expression – 9/10 times). Same facial expression regardless of the event, her own work or the clothes that she is wearing. With this look, I’m glad to know I am not the only one to absolutely not like this. That is a bad colour, bad combo and not working on her. Her personality (or the lack thereof) always gets the better of her clothing no matter how good the latter is.

      • Completely agree with you. Her lack of personality and one note expression always overshadows everything else. But her sharp (sharpened by the knife) features and toned body do make most outfits easy on the eye. One to usually wear minimalistic looks this one is coming across as very garish. Seems more like a stage costume in terms of styling.

She looks sad somehow always. There’s no smile at all. She looks ok here, I believe she’s more promoting her Kaala Chashma number than the movie as the outfit, styling looks similar.
