In Manish Malhotra
Katrina abandoned both her favorites (Gauri-Nainika/Rocky S) in opting for a Manish Malhotra design for the red carpet. The white looks great on her but frankly we aren’t excited about seeing another Manish Malhotra creation!

the gown is fab really but isn’t to long !! i think if it was shorter it’s will be better
karina????u guys wrote karina
wat disaster is happening at da bottom?…
Katrina, not karina 🙂
But, of course. Missing a t in the quick typing.
Was she going to perform? A little too costume-y for me. and Hate the white caked on makeup.
Its ugly and tacky.Especially the long sleeves. How can you possibly like this?
LOL – agree. This costume (not a gown) is ugly and tacky. It almost looks like a negligee.
OMG!! kAT LOOKS STUNNING HERE!! Like a Goddess!!!
tacky
My opinions are that the outfit is beautiful. I think it’s perfect for an awards show, even though it is MM! For some reason she looks less charming as days go by. I think it has something to do with the fact that she looks more and more plastic as days go by. She started out (well post Boom) really naturally pretty!
She looks like an angel!
I love this.. Its sooo glittery!! This is sort of like Indian design meets western gown!!
Kat is such a beautiful girl x
She looks angelic…but im not liking the boob show one bit…
ditto !
she looks very angelic. Not bad for an MM.
What a beautiful piece she choose to wear. It really flatters her thin body and height. Loving the embroidery, cut and fabric its perfect and trendy, Very elegant as well! I love manish malhotra he is amazing, he is going to set off more trends and people will copy him and call it their own!
She shoulda worn a sari instead.
She does look fresh!!
Wasn’t Ash previously performing on stage, with the same light pink MM fabric ?..It was a anarkali in her case…
It shows how ppl are biased and call Katrina angelic and goddess, while Ash would have been torn apart..
COMPLETELY AGREE!
Btw you guys found out its a MM, by looking at the unnecessary, unwanted green velvet at the bottom right 🙂
STUNNING!! she esp looks beautiful in d second pic!
For a moment there I thought the dress was completely transparent but she does look nice
Love the design..although I think it belongs on a bride or in a reception… too OTT for the red carpet.
A bit too costume-y but looks good on her. accentuates her figure and height. one of the MM pieces I’m sooooo loving but for that work on the sleeves! totally ruins the nice-ness.
Wow! My jaw literally dropped when I saw this pic… so radiant! Like a Greek Goddess!
like the dress, can’t ignore just coz it’s a MM. wish kat had experimented with her, darling don’t shy from putting in some effort there.
i agree that the dress in itself looks to costumy..but she is totally working it and is looking so angelic as well..
typical bolly trash outfit. its what sells, so i dont blame katrina.
This outfit looks so familiar, didn’t Jacqueline Fernandez wear it at the IIFA 2010 awards? The only difference is the colour, that one was gold and black if i remember correctly.
She looks nice!
to P&P : how can you say “not interested in another MM creation ” 🙁
its a brilliant outfit , impeccable makeup and kat looks FAB !!!!
MM is here since past 2 decades and he is here for a reason. His work speaks for himself . i dont remember anyone looking soo good and with such an apt look for the awards. and the piece of velvet at the bottom highlights the entire dress and takes it to a complete different level . without that it would have been a “DRAB” acc to HHC vocab . she looks like a dream come true.:)
katrina should not wear manish malhotra’s designs . she has a very subtle personality and cannot carry of ott 😛 she should rather stick to rocky s
this is exactly like the one Natasha Poonawala wore to Genelia’s Sangeeet, except colour difference. Ditto perhaps?
really nice dress though we have seen better of both manish and katrina…a long gown with gottapatti and velvet taping at the bottom…full of stone work…with side slit…the bust though shudnt have been lifted thar much..being a current student of nift and a designer….all i can say is could have done better….
