Katrina In Sabyasachi!

Comment image 33

Spotted Katrina in a colorful Sabyasachi on ’10 Ka Dum’. The silhouette has been seen many a times on Rani, a die-hard Sabyasachi fan, and also on Gautami.

Hmmm, makes me wonder now if are we going to see Neha in Sabya soon too? 😉

  1. I LOVE 🙂
I too am a die hard Sabyasachi fan…although I have to say that I never noticed the outfit (that would have shined on someone else) because I was to busy gaping at her hair…it looks like a bad wig
it doesn’t help that the woman is irrevocably bland :/

  2. @ nik: I was gonna say the same thing about her lower body. Looks HUGE in the chudi-daar pajama.

Kat looks good overall though. Somehow this outfit – seen on Rani in different styles too but it works on Katrina. She looks feminine in the most delicate way. I love her in desi outfits.

  3. I like Sabyasachi, but a girl has to know what she looks good in, and Katrina don’t look good in it. Her thighs do look massive in it. Sabyasachi makes potentially mismatched colors look fabulous… Katrina makes Sabyasachi’s colors look mismached. Like pdaervo said, she is bland — so morbidly bland there’s no hope she could ever carry such vivacious colors and patterns.

  4. that’s a lovely salwar kameez but it doesn’t suit katrina at all. maybe she’s gained weight. she also doesn’t look nice with straightened hair.

  5. I love Sabyasachi………..her hair looks awful! She is so beautiful but needs a good stylist or a better stylist! Is she still with Salman?

  6. i so hate this dress.. if she faces the front its another colour and when she turns its like another dress altogether!! doesnt make any aesthetic sense to me.. there should have been a balance of colours..

didnt help that Katrina paraded the chunni like a blanket throughout the show.. and yes she looked bland from neck up

  7. Nadia- i agree with you. Sabyasachi should sign Sonam Kapoor to model their range. She’d be amazing!

I lovee Sabyasachi. His stuff are totally drool worthy. Cant wait to own some stuff of my own..G

  8. I find Sabyasachi’s work a little schizoid…in that, he can come up with divine creations with beautiful indian prints some embroidery, some workable contrast colors which make the whole outfit sing. Then there is a tacky side, loud nautanki silver edged anarkali type dresses…sometimes his trademark pastiches fall flat as the colors do not gel together….feels as if the original outfit got stained, and you had to throw in a different piece from another suit so you could be decent…

  9. Actually it looks good on Rani. So it works on a petite frame. If Katrina’s kurta was a little longer it would have looked good. Love Sabya’s creativity though.

  10. I dunno what it is about Katrina – she is very attractive – no doubt about that but comes across a lil bland – the green churidar does nothing for her legs – she isn’t a big girl but she does have a muscular/athletic figure and churidar’s are a hard look to pull off with all the ruching and tapering at the ankle…

  11. agree with rubywoo – i cant quite figure out why Katrina looks bland – she seems to have perfect facial features (a lil too perfect perhaps? ) and an overall well proportioned body, but nothing sizzles on her… Is it because her eyes are expressionless (if that’s even a word)? Or is it her body – too stiff?

  12. I better not let my husband read these comments…he thinks Kat is very pretty! She is, and has beautiful smile too…but I think she lacks personality. She seems boring to me! But I think many of our bollywood actresses are like that…except Preity, Lara and few others…

  13. Guys maybe she is just very simple.. usually her look is timeless. These days anyone who is elegant can look boring amidst all the loud ‘trendy’ people. She never looks like her get up is contrived. She does manage to look refreshingly comfortable, happy and approachable. Though the wig is weird. Jia i’m with you on this 🙂

  14. sanjana – I agree with you. Every time I have seen her on some chat show (Koffee With Karan comes to mind, and now DkD), she comes off as very awkward and…. dry. I mean, she seems nice and polite, but it looks like she’s holding herself back. I’m going to get brickbats for for drawing comparisons, but Kareena Kapoor (am certainly not a fan) comes across as a brat and a little haughty, but at the same time she makes for an interesting personality! It’s the opposite for Katrina, othervise I like everything about her (except she isn’t a good actress yet).

  16. I have something against that green colour, not the best. desibuff, I have the exact same reservations about Sabyasachi’s design aesthetics, his clothes tend to look so ‘folksy’ at times; far from elegant.

  18. Saba- not sure where you are going but I just picked up a Sabyasachi in Bangalore at Evolutione for $600. It has a short black and green sleeveless kurta with orange printed salwar and amazing dupatta. They had lots of anarkali sabyasachi’s for around $1000. Hope that helps…….good luck!

  19. somehow, i am not liking the color combo of this outfit, although sabyasachi (his pet name is PEPSI by d way) makes potentially mismatched colors really come alive together. rani rocks sabya’s creations. katrina, not so much.
