Kareena jetted out of the city on Wednesday wearing a military jacket from Marc Jacobs with dark denims, a black tee and golden sneakers. Comfort is the first thing I think of when planning what to wear while travelling but as comfortable her look might seem, it felt so disconnected and all over the place!

I wish she’d carried a black tote, swapped the black tee for a white one and worn a classic pair of sunnies to finish out the look.

Shop her jacket HERE.

  1. Maybe its just me, but I don’t find it disconnected. On a side note, do celebs also get to borrow airport clothes? I mean an $800 jacket which we might never see on her again. Genuine question PnP.

    • Even I don’t find it disconnected at all. Its a casual look so why does she have to put so much thought into it about small details like switching tee color, changing totes? I personally prefer wearing black during travel in case any small stains happen, I don’t want them to be more obvious by wearing white!

  2. Hi Payal and Priyanka, as an avid HHC follower, I want to say thanks for all that you do for this blog! I do have one thought- I feel like “airport looks” have become so ubiquitous that they are becoming more contrived than anything. We hear about how celebrities will take the time to change on a plane just so that they come out afterward looking pristine, just for the paparazzi and for blogs like this. Doesn’t this negate the whole idea of a look? And moreover, should we really be ones to judge people, even public personalities, when they are traveling and likely want to be comfortable and not have to think about every portion of their outfit for a time like this? I do think this is much different than public platforms, move screenings, etc, where people should have the opportunity to dress up or down without the worry of being blogged, because I think we’ve reached a point where celebrities are now feeling forced to coordinate such looks- but doesn’t that take away from the casualness of dressing the way you want to, at least for off hours? That being said, Kareena’s outfit may have flaws from our eyes, but should we really be judging her for potentially throwing something together (or even if she spent time putting her outfit together) and wanting to be comfortable while traveling?

Again, your blog is great, I love it and am definitely a daily visitor! Just wanted to provide some food for thought, and see what you ladies think about this.

  3. I agree with RM above. I truly enjoy reading your blog, but please, stop covering everyone’s airport looks. Because you’re juding people who don’t wish to be judged, they don’t want to be covered by HHC every time they take a flight. Don’t force people into this rat race, it makes it such an unsporting behaviour. It’s one thing that the likes of Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone see this as a branding opportunity and get covered, but why are we forcing everyone into this box. Now everyone will be forced to hire stylists and be fake for running personal errands, lest they be tagged “NAY” on blogs as these.
If you take a stand and stop this, a lot more will follow. After all, you’re the leading fashion blogger for Indian stars.

Humble two cents from your reader.

    • Oh c’mon! How else would we get all the laughs and WTHeyyyys? P&P, pls keep the airport looks coming.

PS. Speaking of airport looks – I’m reminded of Rajesh Khanna’s IIFA airport look. teehee! *giggle*

  4. If Kareena is dressed up this much then for sure she is expecting paps to cover her look and wants to get featured.
Guys when we see high end airports looks these, celebs and stylists actually are putting efforts in there. (However silly it might seem to us). The ones not featured here, may be traveling simply like us commoners.

    • On one hand I see what you mean about certain celebrities wanting publicity, but then a lot of other celebrities who may not wish to be covered end up getting featured sometimes and it overall just increases the pressure to create “airport looks” for all celebrities. If airport looks stop being covered (at least by HHC?), even the celebs that do it for publicity will hopefully slowly stop producing such crazy, OTT blingy looks. Win for all of us!

  5. As much as some readers find these airport posts hyper-judgemental, I am unsure if that is the case.
Many celebrities appreciate being photographed and talked about, and their teams often communicate their whereabouts to papps to achieve this (including restaurant appearances). I would be highly surprised if Kareena, Alia, Sonam, Deepika, Sridevi, Kangana, etc. are not doing this during their for their travel schedules. These airport sightings also present an opportunity for designers to “advertise” their pieces through celebrity endorsement, much like any other fashion/award show/media appearance. IMHO, it seems to me that airport appearances make business sense to all parties – celebs, designers and papps. So I am not really convinced that P&P should stop covering airport looks. My two cents.

  6. I think that they are in public life with public appearances. Unless it is something intensely private and a sensitive occasion ie funeral etc. there is no harm in covering their looks, airport included. Most of them seem to put an effort specially since these days cameras are omni present. You can dress comfy for travel and still be stylish. And its not as if they are exactly travelling in economy or carting their own luggage.
She looks fine except for the shades.

  7. She’s a new mom. She can wear whatever she wants. The fact that she even attempted jeans is amazing . I’m two years post partum and still avoid my jeans LOL

  8. She looks like Terminator and about the airport looks hhc only covers celebs who wants to be covered,i dont see what’s wrong in that. They have a team of stylists to style them for travelling and pr to inform the photogs pre arrival, they sure as hell will be disappointed if they don’t get the attention they are seeking for

    • Agree with you, but what’s it going to take for them to stop dressing so over the top? It looks beyond unrealistic (in general, not specifically Kareena over here), and propagates even more buffoonery and over the top-ness. *Sigh*
