Sequin Style
August 14th, 2010 at 3:30 pm . by PayalAlthough I love the glam concept of the gold sequin blazer, the pairing with the crisp white shirt seems a wee bit too office-like for me. I think a relaxed tee with the blazer unbuttoned would’ve made for a better look on Kareena but that’s just me.
What say you about this look? (I’ve got to add, she looks beautiful in the third pic.)

I have to agree with you, a casual boyfriend v-neck tee, and the unbuttoned sequined blazer would have worked this look!
I agree, and the pants are a tad too long and the wrong color.
I love the shiny blazer look but I always offset it with more casual/disheveled attire. Def would have looked better unbuttoned.

Kareena tries so hard to be stylish! But it never works! Should have worn skinny jeans and maybe a more sophisticated watch! Also hate the shoes!
Somehow I feel Kareena is trying to copy Sonam by trying this blazer zone…
So when Sonam wears a blazer comment on the blog accuse her of copying western celebs. And when bebo wears one, its sonam she’s copying :P
Can we not accept that blazers are a huge trend right now and our celebs can wear them without the purpose of mimicking anyone in mind? And even if they were inspired by someone,surely its not the same thing as plaigaism.
P.S- Im not saying this in refernce to the comment above which is very mild and just making an observation. Im commenting on all the vicious comments I’ve seen on Sonam’s posts

I don’t get it, you guys liked Priyanka’s look sans blazer, when she needed one, and you guys call this office-y. She looks great, the style ICON title is apt for her, because her style has evolved with her age. She doesn’t dress like a 18 year old when she is nearing 30…looks like a sophisticated lady to me.

I like it. The sequins on the blazer don’t look tacky and not office-like if you wear a sequin blazer with it. The white and gold looks good. The dark colour denims look good too.
i dont like the jeans and the white shirt with that blazer…i dont even like her hairs, the blazer is wasted!! but i love her makeup and her face!!

These blazers go amzingly well with skinny pants n boots, not this sort 80′s jeans that she is sporting.. n who wears peeptoes with jeans !!! above the neck,she looks beautiful though.. you’re right ..

I agree. Kareena is a true style icon, because I believe she doesn’t copy what she sees is the new “syle” eg blazer with a t-shirt like everyone on here is saying she should have wore. But Kareena has her own style and doesn’t like to follow others or copy hollywood stars like Sonam has done times and PC I have seen she copied an exact dress of a hollywood celeb. It was so obvious lol she even wore the same kind of shoes.
I wanted to add that what makes a true style icon is that if u don’t copy what u see on others and magazines exactly like u see it. A style icon is someone who is a trend setter which I believe kareena is.
I think the sequin jacket makes the look fun and not corporate stiff. don’t mind the white shirt that much. and yes she does look absolutely stunning in the 3rd pic
