Ms. Kapoor is out with a book where she shares her style mantra and tips on health and beauty. The book out in Dec features Ms. Kareena in a cream Falguni and Shane Peacock fringe dress. You may remember seeing the dress on the cover in a red version on both Jennifer and Deepika.

  1. Sorry but she doesnt deserve to have a book on style. She ONLY has access to labels but stylewise, she’s so monotonous. the book will sell for sure, but for different reasons.

  2. Not a very flattering picture! I mean how did this even happen? It’s Kareena Kapoor! She hardly ever takes a bad photo and this is what they chose to go on the cover?!

  3. Wow Ladies!! Absolutely no love for Kareena here?
I agree, its not her best pics but she looks a bit alluring to me.. and the book is on health & beauty and not just style. In any case, who says that that she is not a style diva..?? A lot of us are based outside India and surrounded by pics of Hollywood celebrities..so maybe our views are kinda skewed..but for young Indian girls..am sure she does come across as a stylish woman that they look up to.. imo she does have a sense of style and looks amazing way too many times! Maybe it’s not everybody’s cup of tea but COME ON..!!!!

    • One can hardly be called a style diva if one’s best looks are the ones put together by a stylist. I doubt she has ever looked supremely stylish before she hired a stylist.

      • well..people grow and tastes develop with exposure and guidance. If a stylist is the only one that makes all the difference then there wouldn’t be any badly dressed celebrity.
Also, now we are hating/ judging on celebrities who have stylists?? Aren’t we the ones that cry out loud for Madhuri, Vidhya and the likes to hire a stylist pronto & then when they do we say that they have no sense of style? Damned if you do damned if you don’t!! we women i tell ya!! πŸ˜‰

        • Ever heard of bad stylists? πŸ˜€ (case in point- PC’s recent looks)
And anyway my point isn’t about hating or loving celebrities with stylists. Its about somebody going out there authoring a book and claiming to be a style diva when I don’t see them with that inherent sense of style.
Kareena has been looking smashin’ the past few weeks for all the Heroine promotions but they were all styled by someone, which, by the way, I have no problem with. (If you can afford a stylist, by all means, hire one!) That alone, in my poinion, doesn’t qualify her to write a book about her ‘style diva status’.

          • +1! i think this comes from the Heroine shooting & her being a “diva” & so forth, & maybe they are trying to be the first to come up with this idea of a book before someone (= read Sonam) snatchs a book deal on these matters.
She believes in her own hype & the only answer is: HAHAHAHAHA!

    • Let’s face it – lovely as Ms Kapoor is she is no style diva.

This book belongs to Sonam – and I say this even though I prefer KK to Sonam in the movies. Or Karishma could have got out this book.

PS: IMO those of us outside are a lot kinder because the Indian actresses are a change from what we are surrounded by.

      • Yup! & a true style diva would not be caught dead in an outfit worn previously by famous others ( not even when she is sure to rock it better). It defeats the purpose of the statement

    • +1, I agree she’s not a style diva but the book is more than about style, its about other things as well. We should atleast give it a chance before bashing it.
As far the cover goes, I am kinda disappointed with it…I hate that pout but the outfit is nice.

  4. this is an amazing cover! Subtle yet strong!!! And to all those who feel she’s had a lot of misses, who hasnt? She’s had more hits than misses!! And if HHC had been on her heel with the Heroine promotions, you’d know she’s sporting different looks everyday!!

Unlike some OTHERS who keep trying but never get it RIGHT!

  5. she has to stop wearing her tights-as-pant-travel look now. πŸ™‚ Style divas dont do that.
And really, why the duckface again? Not the best pic for the cover.

  6. I am not sure there really is a ‘true style’ icon but as far as the cover goes, it seems to lack energy. I assume the book is marketed towards teenagers and it’s a pity because her expression looks like she is disinterested/cold. A cover with a more emphatic positive vibe like a smile would have maybe bettered the outcome given that it is a style guide.

  7. If ATTITUDE is what she is trying to convey in that overused pout of hers then its not working and she doesn’t look good in a pout. Don’t know when she will get out of that pout phase. She looks pretty cold and haughty in that pic. There are tons of better pics of her. Will surely wait to read the book before commenting on that.

  8. Somehow this cover’s not working. Its not Kareena’s best picture and also if its not a book on style, then why call that? Quite misleading no? Very un-impressive.
