In Manish Malhotra
November 1st, 2009 at 11:22 pm . by PayalKareena and Saif made an appearance at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit over the weekend with Kareena wearing an ombre Manish Malhotra sari. It sure is a look done to death by her and I think it is about time, she either get a new hairstyle for the sari looks or ditch these style of saris (although this one was quite muted than some of the other MM creations we’ve seen on her).

totally second that she needs a new hairstyle and a new designer to sport! i love MM but its a bit much now
exactly , the first thing that came to my mind was ……. is it mandatory to have this hairstyles whenever she wears saree ? something like she gets an invitation to a function , so she calls MM , gets a saree , sets her hairstyle in the exact same way all the time , uses exactly the same makeup products, moves out that too with the same old boyfriend :D :D

I think she looks beautiful. The sari is draped normally and despite seeing so much of Manish’s tack, this particular sari is lovely.

The over all look is not new but thank God that she wears the sari as it should be worn…. i mean compared to the “bare all” PC, KAT etc. style…. and compared to the blingy stuff MM is giving out now a days… this one is rellay simple and gracefull.

they both look really good here, and I know she has this look always with saree, but I agree with other people above that atleast she wears her saree properly and this one isn’t bliny OTT as other manish stuff.

What has happened to her face? It looks so gaunt and almost skeletal. Bring back the Refugee days where Kareena looked absolutley beautiful. There is no glow in her face at all, the weight loss makes her look so old too :(

kareena looks radiant and all grown up in that sari. they are one sizzling hot couple.
however, i would really LOVE to see what Chanda Kochar wore. She was at the same event.
I agree, I know this blog is meant for celebs/ socialites mainly but there are some power women out there like
Priyanka Vadera/ Chanda Kochhar/ Sachna Chauhan who have a fabulous sense of style
Besides it would be nice to see someone who’s claim to fame is a brilliant mind as opposed to crass item numbers or rich husbands. Not that I am in anyway saying that all the women featured on this site are like that, but still.

It may be a tried and tested look, but there’s nothing about it one can fault. Her make-up, hair and outfit are all tasteful and event-appropriate.
