Also attending Rakesh Roshan’s birthday last Thursday was Kangna in a Fall 2013 houndstooth printed Gucci dress.

If we were to ignore that this was just a birthday bash, the dark eyes/no eyebrows look was quite fierce . Really wish that she’d given us this look at the Vogue FNO event.

What say you about the look? Love it or hate it?

  1. Love the fact that she takes fashion risks. But it’s hard to ignore that it’s just a birthday bash. Isn’t fashions first rule dress for the occasion???

  2. Holy Moly!! The girl doesn’t know what to wear when * sigh*
I understand her schtick about marching to her own tunes and stuff, but she should stop appearing in these gimmicky looks at people’s parties! Didn’t she dress up as corpse bride at some recent wedding wearing a black & white Sabyasachi lehenga?!

  3. Fierce or scary? I love kangana but the no eyebrows look weird especially at a birthday party where people weren’t that dressed up from the posts we ave seen

  4. awww nooooo! most definitely not a birthday Party look !!maybe at the Met ball Gala but most certainly not here .. Wonder though if she is channeling the Alien spirit in keeping up with the facade of birthday party when we all know its just movie promotion …

  5. the dress is event appropriate but not the make up. However, i love this girl, for she is the only one who takes fashion risks and doesn’t look ‘put together’ or styled.

  6. We all know that the birthday is being celebrated in such a big manner to get media coverage for Mr. Roshan’s upcoming movie and Kangana, has just taken it to the next level! So her appearance is fine for this birthday party… although it may not be the case for any another!!!
I do wish she had not copied the look from the runway and added some thing of her own.

  7. once she wore a cleavage bearing kameez to an iftar, then she dressed as a corpse bride to a wedding, and now she’s dressed as a beauty parlor accident to a birthday party. freak show, walking freak show.

  8. She has effortless oomph.. she is better suited for the ramp, she walks it like she owns it. It’s a bit too OTT for a birthday party! And the shoes are a downer.. she needs to be on the ramp.

  9. So this look is not my cuppa tea at a birthday party or otherwise. The only place, i’d like to see it is on a mime’s face. Having said that it wasn’t the makeup but the shoes that killed this for me. It looks completely outta place on that whole get up. To complete this look, i’d have gone with edgy leather booties or something to that effect.

  10. Promotion gimmick..or watever dressing like this for b’day parties is bit too much…one may end up having all eyeballs staring at himself rather then tha b’day boy 😛

  11. Bollywood parties are help for media coverage, so I am sure the hosts are delighted with Kangana and don’t think this was inappropriate. Kudos to Kangana, for daring to be a “freakshow” in a sea of cookie cutter babes – she knows what she is doing!

  12. I wouldn’t be able to have a conversation at a party with someone whose eyebrows didn’t make an entrance with them, and not for a medical reason. I would blubber and shrivel under that Anime villain stare.
Anyway… problem solved… the amount of make-up she has on, she probably couldn’t talk either, just stood around nursing her drink through a straw.

  13. On a lighter note, imagine being dressed like this and casually chatting with people ! how distracting for others 😀 dude, where’d your eyebrows go ? hehehe

There’s a reason why event-appropriate is the #1 rule for fashion.

  14. I get that she’s trying to promote her next movie, mixing business with pleasure and all that jazz, but if I saw this creature anywhere outside of a screen, I’d scream “Mummmeeeeee!” and run for the hills. There’s style and then there’s “Let’s grab everyone’s eyeballs, rip them out and squish them in the palm of my hand”.
