I am not a fan of the tight pants that look like leggings. Would love to see her in a Payal Khandawala skirt and shirt outfit.

She looks okay in both. None of the looks wow me. Can her stylist once do a nice blazer look? I think she would look awesome in it.

  4. Sup at | | Reply

She looks quite nice in both actually. I’d take this any day over the barrage of ill-fitting dresses.

Someone needs to tell kajol that wearing super tights clothes doesn’t necessarily make one look slender. Well fitted doesn’t mean body con! Her face looks lovely.

    1. np at | | Reply

That’s how jeggings/leggings are. I don’t think she wore them to look slender, may be she just wanted to wear them.

        Thank you! I absolutely agree
I am curvy too but I love wearing jeggings and it bothers me that you must be thin to wear them (and I do think they look good on me, fashion rules be dam*ed)
Wanting to wear body con has nothing to do with wanting to look thin. Perhaps every person has the right to celebrate their body in any way they can
I like that Kajol is wearing fitted clothes and doing so confidently. You go Chica!

Kajol represents curvy girls and it’s good that she is wearing all types of clothes. And at age 41 she acting as a leading lady with India’s top hero in a movie is really a good thing, where heroes act with heroines half their age in India generally. I never think body size and age is a restriction to wear any type of clothes. Just wear jeggings and bodycons without hesitation Meg.

          1. Meg at |

            I agree! 41 and fabulous!!

My comment wasn’t about her body but her choice of clothes. The feeling I get from her dressing is that she doesn’t own her curves. She doesn’t look comfortable in her skin. I didn’t suggest that she wear tents! However well cut tailored clothes would be a better alternative than to the very tight ones she has been stuffing herself into. We can talk all we want to about anybody can wear anything they like. But that would invalidate the whole point of fashion and style and whathaveyou.

          1. Avani at |

I so agree. Stuffing is the right term. If anyone can wear anything, then why are we even commenting on anyone’s look? Wasn’t Priyanka Chopra crucified for wearing tight-short clothes or the hue & cry over boob show and many such comments. If going by these standards NO ONE should be commenting on any clothes or what the celebs are showing or not showing, because it is their choice. Sometimes, the comments are more ridiculous than the white washing these celebs do. :P

Absolutely Meg ! I’ve always seen these “wear according to body type” comments only for people on even the slightest of heavy side.
If those commenting were fair, you’d see the same amount of criticism couple of days back when Deepika was looking alarmingly skinny (divine, but under-fed) in the white on white dress / pants she wore.
Or Athiya Shetty when wears the tiniest of blouses throwing proportions off.

If those can go unnoticed, this should too.

In the song Hoton pe bas tere naam hein, Kajol looks very gorgeous and super sexy in a short blue bodycon dress. She rocked that dress man!! Kajol is my favourite since my childhood. I find her very gorgeous and her eyes ‘enigmatic’. :)

You can wear whatever you want because sorry to say you are not a celebrity and what you wear or not wear is never going to be discussed here in this blog. So going by your argument of “anybody can wear anything”, why is Sonam kapoor being targeted as OTT all the time , named booban kapoor or trying to live up to the name of fashionista? Maybe she also wants to play dress up everyday, flaunt her boobs, it is her choice too. If such comments offend you maybe you should not be reading any fashion blogs or ignore the comments you think is not applicable for you.

She is not slim kinda person, she has always been curvey and she looks perfect with elegant face and super aura of personalised style with grace. She is not in her 20’s ,i love her look. She looks perfect for event .

I like the first look. The color suits her better and the top adds better visual interest. The all black look is nice but nothing new.

  8. Amy at | | Reply

she looks nicer in the all black look…am glad she embracing her curves when every other actress is stick figure like, yaay for curvaceous and voluptuous girls out there

    1. Ik at | | Reply

Stick figure? Just because they like to work out or be naturally thin, they are called stick figures?. Doesn’t this defeat the purpose of every body shape is beautiful.

  9. Avani at | | Reply

That super tight pants-leggings looks unsightly on her.The black tunic is better of the two. While she embraces her curves, she endorses “fairness”creams. LOL!

    1. S at | | Reply

Some day, we can only hope people like Kajol will embrace their dark skin too.

  10. bumblebee at | | Reply

She cannot embrace her curves any more than shun it. She cannot own her look any more than discard her appearance. She wears clothes, she looks like herself. She has to. No one else will offer to look like her. And therefore she is left with no option but to go out with her own face and her own body. The rest is all in our imagination. Now if you will excuse me, I have my curves to cuddle.

    1. Asha at | | Reply

LOL B-bee – excellent mental image of cuddling one’s curves :-)

    2. Sup at | | Reply

Hahaha.. “No one else will offer to look like her” — this made me laugh out loud!
Exactly the point.. I find it especially ridiculous when people go on a trip imagining how badly someone wanted to look slim. Rather than just give their opinion on whether or not they appreciate the look.
And advising someone against fitting leggings/jeggings as opposed to what? roomy leggings?

    3. saki at | | Reply

kajol looks gorgeous, i think. but then, she’s always been my favourite. i’ve always been on the leaner side, and growing up, i’ve wished i were curvier. i guess whether people appreciate this look or not depends on their own particular aesthetic regarding body shape and heft.

She looks just about average here…nothing to write home about these looks. I however feel sad that there are just about no dark skinned Bollywood actresses there anymore…everyone has gone several notches lighter.
