In Masaba

At the premiere of her sister’s play, Kajol wore the Masaba fan-print sari as presented on the runway, with its sheer tunic. While I appreciate the fact that she tried something new, it’s not a look she pulled off.

Besides, am just not a fan of the black cuff on the sheer sleeve. Nor of the shoulder-bag in her arm-crook. The latter especially brought down the look a notch, or five.

  1. Ohhhh I get it, there’s a tunic over the saree. I think it’s a weird and a stupid idea. This outfit would would have gotten a nod if it the tunic was omitted. Neck up Kajol looks good.

    • I JUST realized there is a net tunic over the saree and it goes all the way to mid calf. How totally weird is this concept???? all along I thought the net tunic went under the pallu of the saree, not over it!! Masaba just got a little wacko for me!

  2. I will have to disagree with you on this on HHC. She looks stunning. I would have never expected this look off the runway, but seeing Kajol in it has made me like it even more. Especially in the first two pics. I am not a fan of the hand bag, but i do love the look and that Kajol tried something very different and it does work on her. I for one, Love it!

  4. this is all a complete HOT MESS. Looks like she got caught in a dust storm during her white sari Chandni moment. I’m embarrassed for her.
I could *possibly get with a tunic over a sari if the sari was plain and the sheer tunic did some Swarovski bling. I think that would actually look cool. and why not? since Everyone is a designer nowadays, why not me too? ;o)

  6. i like the outfit, I think it looks very interesting and kajol carries it very well with amazing hairstyle and earrings. the large white bag clashes with the saree majorly.i think a small brown clutch would have looked wayyy better.

  7. Not a big fan of the fan print but she actually looks good, and i dont mind the blouse either, something a bit different and edgy for her. Her hair and makeup are beautiful the bag was unnecessary but its a thumbs up over all!

  8. I kinda like this…… Posing with her handbag that doesn’t match the outfit well you know its okayyyyy. Its probably the handbag she uses everyday and couldn’t be bothered changing it. But the outfit is funky and good on her for trying something different.

  10. Apart from the bag that has no business being there – i think she pulls the look off perfectly
It’s an edgy look but she doens’t look like she’s trying too hard
    Go Kajol!

  11. I think she did pull off this quirky look! Better than the model, too. Something to be commended. And that’s a smoky eye, nothing wrong with it. I think she’s trying to tell us something – she wants more fans, more followers 😛 Those glasses don’t suit her, though. Good thing she took them off.
Way to modernise the sari, Masaba!
